Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.</p></div><h4><strong>PCBA Manufacturing Engineer&nbsp;</strong></h4> <p>As a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer, you will work across design engineering, supply-chain, quality, and our manufacturing partners to drive PCBA manufacturing with on time delivery.</p> <h4><strong>Role</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Define manufacturing readiness requirements and lead key milestone reviews to ensure all stakeholder deliverables are complete.</li> <li>Work with the Design Engineering team to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges early in product development by enforcing DFM, DFA and DFS principles.</li> <li>Drive closure of all operational issues during pre-production builds.</li> <li>Investigate failures in production, test, and integration. Identify and mitigate underlying root causes to prevent reoccurrence and foster continuous improvement.</li> <li>Deliver manufacturing processes capabilities including equipment capability, quality controls, materials characterization, and workmanship standards.</li> <li>Actively monitor the success of products and processes through the production ramp.</li> <li>Provide direction to contract manufacturing, suppliers, and engineers to manage quarantine and rework activities.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Requirements</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)</li> <li>5+ years of experience in PCB/PCBA fabrication facility</li> <li>3+ years supplier quality, manufacturing, or design experience</li> <li>Experience in board assembly process and equipment (for example: Stencil print, SPI, pick &amp; place, reflow, AOI, ICT, x-ray inspection).</li> <li>Experience leading DFX reviews to deliver design to manufacturability, testability, quality, and reliability standards</li> <li>Must be onsite 5 days a week&nbsp;</li> <li>Certified or significantly familiar with IPC-610</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Bonus</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)</li> <li>7+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB supply chain, manufacturing or engineering.</li> <li>5+ years’ experience with industry standard PLM and DFX systems, Mentor/Valor preferred.</li> <li>Experience performing Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses.</li> <li>Experience with IPC standards for PCB, PCBA, and RFPC fabrication, assembly, and test.</li> <li>Experience in Polymeric application, including conformal coating, staking and underfill.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <p data-path-to-node="3">Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package.
