Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.</p></div><h4><strong>PCBA SMT Technician</strong></h4> <p>As an SMT Technician&nbsp;at Astranis, you'll be working to program the machines that assemble the printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) on our satellites and ground support equipment. You'll support the entire SMT process and quickly resolve line-down events to meet development and production need dates.</p> <h4 id="JobDescriptionPCBASMTTechnician-Role">Role</h4> <ul> <li data-uuid="b14e7f2c-ae1d-4c16-b113-eaa67b1b297c">Develop reflow profiles that meet peak temperature and time above liquidus (TAL) requirements</li> <li data-uuid="e541ebef-ecba-40e2-96b5-747b35795a17">Program a paste printer, pick and place machine and jet printer and verify the programs are defect free</li> <li data-uuid="0f388f0c-a186-426c-9f5c-ac68a8f28fb2">Create automated optical inspection (AOI) programs</li> <li data-uuid="c4cf9568-c59d-4688-b313-768c12d83f85">Develop selective soldering (SLS) profiles and verify the programs with x-ray inspection</li> <li data-uuid="a89eb37c-1b9e-47f2-8ca7-edc607589a32">Support wash, depanel and x-ray inspection processes</li> </ul> <h4 id="JobDescriptionPCBASMTTechnician-Requirements">Requirements</h4> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent</li> <li>2+ years of experience working hands-on as a technician in the aerospace, automotive, or similar industries</li> <li>Can read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers</li> <li>Work with cross functional engineering team to support new developments</li> <li>Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to develop and document future activities</li> <li>Must be onsite 5 days a week</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail</li> </ul> <h4 id="JobDescriptionPCBASMTTechnician-Bonus">Bonus</h4> <ul> <li data-uuid="98274dd5-a6c6-4496-80c5-0a5660bde61e">A.S. electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering technology or equivalent technical programs</li> <li data-uuid="333851a2-46bd-4194-9691-a94d44cbcda0">IPC-A-610 certification and experience with Class 3 and J-STD-001 Space Addendum assemblies</li> <li data-uuid="60fca4da-a6aa-47b8-8783-5901ad3cb176">Experience with programming jet printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens, AOI and selective soldering machines</li> <li data-uuid="ee6502d6-5558-4670-aff4-9ec0e09222fa">Experience with x-ray inspection and wash processes</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package.
