Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1.2;">&nbsp;</p></div><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Legend Biotech is seeking a <strong>Senior Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology</strong> as part of the <strong>Early Drug Development </strong>team based in<strong> Philadelphia, PA.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Role Overview</strong></span></p> <p>This position will perform preclinical in vivo pharmacology and toxicology studies to support pipeline development. The ideal candidate will have experience in immunology or immune-oncology and in vivo studies with mouse and NHP to assist preclinical cell therapy studies from discovery to first-in-human trials. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment and would be skillful in driving multiple projects by contributing to the development of cell-based immunotherapies.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Independently design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies with mice, canine and NHP in house or through collaboration with external CROs to support R&amp;D and IND-enabling programs.</li> <li>Communicate/interact with internal R&amp;D teams and manage external CROs for successful study outcomes</li> <li>Develop various animal models of cancer (liquid and solid cancers) and autoimmune diseases</li> <li>Process and analyze blood, tumor and tissue samples. Acquire, analyze, summarize, review and present data</li> <li>Histology work including tissue collection and IHC staining</li> <li>Participate in assay development, optimization, qualification/validation and troubleshooting</li> <li>Maintain good documentation in ELN, paper notebook and logbooks.</li> <li>Perform additional exploratory and investigational studies with various techniques.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Requirements</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. degree in biological sciences (Immunology, cell biology and cancer biology) or related areas is required.</li> <li>Extensive hands-on in vivo study experience (&gt;5 years) for drug efficacy and safety/toxicity is required. Required key skills include various injections, bleeding, tissue collection and processing and in vivo imaging. Excellent mice tail vein injection is a must-have skill.</li> <li>Extensive experience in execution of functional-based and multi-color flow cytometry-based immune cell profiling is required.</li> <li>Deep understanding and profound knowledge of cell-based therapies for cancers and autoimmune diseases. Hands-on experience in CAR-T/NK cell assay is required.</li> <li>Extensive experience in histology work from tissue collection to various IHC staining and RNAscope.</li> <li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Sense of ownership and integrity of his/her work. Can-do attitude and enjoy challenges and fast-paced working environment.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
