<h2><strong>Position Overview</strong></h2>
<p>As a <strong>Project Manager – Power Foundations</strong>, you will lead the execution of <strong>civil and foundation scopes</strong> for transmission line and substation projects, including drilled foundations, structural concrete, and site development.</p>
<p>You will manage a <strong>phase of a large complex project or multiple medium‑sized projects</strong> ranging from approximately <strong>$500K to $10M</strong>, with full accountability for project success—from <strong>proposal and bidding through profitable completion</strong>—with an emphasis on safety performance.</p>
<p>This role requires a driven, organized leader who thrives in <strong>field-based construction environments</strong> and can effectively manage <strong>civil crews, subcontractors, and multi-discipline coordination</strong>.</p>

<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Lead projects through <strong>estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases</strong></li>
<li>Manage <strong>foundation and civil construction scopes</strong>, including:
<ul>
<li>Drilled pier and caisson foundations</li>
<li>Spread footings and structural concrete</li>
<li>Direct-embed structures and anchor systems</li>
<li>Site grading, excavation, and access development</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Ensure projects are delivered <strong>safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards</strong></li>
<li>Oversee <strong>field personnel, subcontractors, equipment, and material logistics</strong></li>
<li>Track and manage <strong>project costs, forecasts, schedules, and productivity metrics</strong></li>
<li>Collaborate with <strong>engineering, estimating, and operations teams</strong> to align execution strategies</li>
<li>Identify and mitigate <strong>constructability challenges, geotechnical risks, and logistical constraints</strong></li>
<li>Maintain strong <strong>client relationships and communication throughout project lifecycle</strong></li>
<li>Promote and exemplify Michels’ <strong>safety-first culture</strong></li>

<h2><strong>What it takes?</strong></h2>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in <strong>Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field</strong>, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li><strong>5–7 years of experience</strong> managing construction projects, preferably within <strong>civil, foundation, transmission, or substation work</strong></li>
<li>Experience with <strong>project management and scheduling software</strong> (Primavera, HCSS, or similar)</li>
<li>Proficiency in <strong>Microsoft Office Suite</strong></li>
<li>Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record</li>
<li>Willingness to travel and commit to <strong>long-term onsite project assignments</strong></li>
