From logistics and information technology to cybersecurity and facilities operations, we are united by a single purpose: to generate meaningful economic opportunity and sustainable growth for the Tlingit &amp; Haida Tribes of Alaska.</p> <p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="color: rgb(35, 111, 161);"><strong>Together We Grow – One Mission, One Team – With a Commitment to Serve</strong></span></p></div><hr> <p><strong>Subsidiary:&nbsp;</strong>T&amp;H Services</p> <p><strong>Job Title:</strong>&nbsp;Electrician&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Work Location: </strong>US Naval Observatory</p> <p><strong>Labor Category:&nbsp;</strong>Non-Exempt | CBA</p> <p><strong>Travel:&nbsp;</strong>25%</p> <p><strong>Pay Rate:&nbsp;</strong>$48.91</p> <hr> <p><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The primary purpose of the position is to perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, distribution, lighting, or utilization of electric energy.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems.</li> <li><span class="TextRun SCXW190692021 BCX0" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW190692021 BCX0">Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to plan and assign work effectively.</span></span></li> <li>Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.</li> <li>Perform calculations related to electrical loads, wiring requirements, and system performance.</li> <li>Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.</li> <li>Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.</li> <li>Ensure work areas are cleaned and restored after maintenance tasks are completed. </li> <li>Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be knowledgeable of national and local electrical codes&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and appliances needed for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical circuits, related fixtures, and hardware.</li> <li>Active state or local electrician licensure (Journeyman or Master Electrician) as required for this position. </li> <li>Must be able to follow maintenance instructions, schedules and inspection of work orders and other job assignments.</li> <li>Must be able to perform maintenance services, diagnose systems or equipment malfunctions, and complete repairs when required.</li> <li>Must have knowledge of the composition, operation, and installation of a variety of electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.</li> <li>Must be able to plan, layout, and complete the installation, modification, and repair of various electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.</li> <li>Must be able to interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. Must be skilled in the use of a wide variety of test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and ohmmeter.</li> <li>Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.  </li> <li><span class="TextRun SCXW190692021 BCX0" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW190692021 BCX0">Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.</span></span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment</strong></p> <ul> <li>Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must be able to work from a scissor lift and/or articulating boom lift.</li> <li>Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.</li> <li>Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
