From logistics and information technology to cybersecurity and facilities operations, we are united by a single purpose: to generate meaningful economic opportunity and sustainable growth for the Tlingit &amp; Haida Tribes of Alaska.</p> <p style="line-height: 2;"><span style="color: rgb(35, 111, 161);"><strong>Together We Grow – One Mission, One Team – With a Commitment to Serve</strong></span></p></div><hr> <p><strong>Subsidiary:&nbsp;</strong>T&amp;H Services</p> <p><strong>Job Title:&nbsp;</strong>Controls Technician</p> <p><strong>Work Location: </strong>US Naval Observatory</p> <p><strong>Labor Category: </strong>Non-Exempt | CBA  &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $52.89 per hour</p> <hr> <p><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Performs maintenance testing, and repairs on all electronic, electrical and pneumatic control systems as related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Installs, services, and repairs environmental-control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layouts.  </li> <li><span class="TextRun SCXW265820651 BCX0" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW265820651 BCX0">Performs a variety of trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.</span></span><span class="TextRun SCXW265820651 BCX0" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none">  </span><span class="TextRun SCXW265820651 BCX0" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"> </span></li> <li>Performs startup, turnover, and shutdown procedures of environmental control systems.    </li> <li>Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to power source.    </li> <li>Installs water and air filters in competed installations  </li> <li>Injects refrigerant into compressor to test systems.    </li> <li>Observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to ensure proper operation  </li> <li>Assembles and installs ductwork and chassis parts using appropriate tools and welding equipment  </li> <li>Cuts and bends tubing, cuts and threads pipes, joins tubing and pipes to machinery.  </li> <li>Repairs defective breaker controls, generators, transformers, controllers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, air conditioning ducting, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring to repair installed units.    </li> <li>Utilizes electrician’s hand tools and test equipment.  </li> <li>Tests for leaks and observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to ensure proper operations.   </li> <li>Supports generator readiness and emergency power compliance, including documentation of inspections, maintenance actions, and operational status. </li> <li>Work from blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications to locate and troubleshoot the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.  </li> <li>Conduct Real Property Inventory.  </li> <li>Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. </li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.   </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Three (3) years related experience. Experience with commercial and industrial systems is preferred.</li> <li>EPA Section 608 certification is mandatory.
