<p>The technical challenges of building GoCardless span from simplifying building banking schemes to optimising the time to render the dashboard. </p>

<p>Our technologies: We endeavour to build simple, reliable systems and we believe in using the best technologies for each task.</p>
<p>Technologies we use across GoCardless include: Ruby on Rails, Golang, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Postgres, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Google Cloud (GCP).</p>
<h3><strong>The role</strong></h3>
<p>This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join GoCardless in our new Lisbon hub as an Engineering Manager.</p>
<p>As one of the founding employees in a Lisbon hub, you’ll be helping us build creative and fulfilled product engineering teams, technically leading them to become the best engineers they can be.</p>
<p>You will lead talented and creative engineers who build products and systems they are proud of. You will push for exceptionally high-quality work and empower our engineers to make a big impact.</p>

<li><strong>Professional experienced in coding</strong> - with Ruby on Rails for backend and JavaScript/React on frontend, and a commitment to building reliable, well-tested systems</li>

<li><strong>Collaboration and cross-functional work </strong>- we have a Product Manager, Designer and BI Analyst as part of our team and work with a lot of other commercial teams across the business</li>
<li><strong>High agency:</strong> We’re after people who aren’t afraid of a challenge and will take ownership of problems they come across, help to resolve them and adapt to a constantly changing environment </li>

<p><strong>Base salary range:</strong> €70,400 - €105,600</p>
<p>Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">minimum and the mid-point</span> of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><h3><strong>(some of) The good stuff</strong></h3>
