At the same time, you’ll tackle real, long-standing friction like slow local environments and long test cycles.  This is a hands-on engineering role with broad impact. You’ll work across teams, partnering directly with engineers to understand how they work today and to roll out changes that stick.  Who you are:      <ul> <li>You are a software engineer first—you like writing code and making systems better </li> <li>You actively use AI tools in your daily development work and look for ways to push them further </li> <li>You keep up with new AI capabilities and enjoy figuring out which ones are worth adopting </li> <li>You care about how other engineers work and want to make their jobs easier </li> <li>You’re comfortable working across teams and incorporating feedback, even when it’s conflicting </li> <li>You’re opinionated but practical—you optimize for real improvement, not theoretical perfection </li> <li>You’re willing to challenge existing workflows when they’re slowing people down </li> </ul> What you get to every day:      <ul> <li>Stay current on AI tooling and techniques and introduce changes that meaningfully improve productivity </li> <li>Collaborate with engineers across teams to shape and adopt AI-assisted workflows </li> <li>Design and build AI agents and skills used in the development process (e.g., test generation, code review assistance, CI feedback) </li> <li>Improve and modularize local development environments </li> <li>Reduce CI pain by speeding up tests and improving signal quality </li> <li>Build internal tools that remove friction from everyday development </li> <li>Drive adoption through collaboration and usefulness, not mandates </li> </ul> What you bring to the role:      <ul> <li>Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on coding experience </li> <li>Experience building systems or tools other engineers rely on </li> <li>Experience with Docker, local dev environments, and CI systems </li> <li>Familiarity with automated testing and test performance issues </li> <li>Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python or JavaScript/TypeScript) required </li> <li>AWS and Postgres experience</li> <li>The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment </li> <li>Outstanding communication skills and ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced challenging environment  </li> <li>English proficiency (written and oral) is required </li> </ul> Nice to Have:  <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="33" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="7" data-aria-level="1">Experience designing or integrating AI agents or LLM-based tools </li> </ul> Location: This position is based in Mexico.
