As a Front-End Web Engineer at Fueled, you will provide critical technical support and consultation to clients and internal teams across a wide array of web properties.
Support diverse, high-volume projects: Work across a large portfolio of concurrent client projects. You will frequently switch contexts throughout the day to resolve varying support requests, implement quick fixes, and push feature updates without sacrificing quality.

Develop and maintain enterprise front-ends: Update, and maintain complex WordPress themes and custom Gutenberg blocks using React.js, modern CSS, and JavaScript.

Enhance UI/UX and legacy interfaces: Debug cross-browser issues, improve responsive design and accessibility on legacy systems, and ensure seamless visual integration across multiple client sites.

Support & shape our product offerings: Help maintain and enhance the user interfaces and front-end integration of our public product offerings like ElasticPress.io and SiteWatch.

What you will achieve:

Deliver timely resolutions: Resolve front-end support tickets and deliver enterprise WordPress updates on schedule, maintaining exceptional client satisfaction through rapid and reliable issue resolution.

Maintain high-quality standards: Write scalable, accessible, and responsive front-end code that meets our clients' expectations as well as our engineering best practices.

Drive client retention: Contribute to the team, client, and overall company's success by providing exceptional customer relations and ensuring clients feel supported and heard.

Triage and problem-solve: Utilize critical thinking to accurately assess the severity of incoming tickets, prioritize workloads, and ensure our clients' needs are met with the proper technical solutions.

Advance product UX: Improve the growth, adoption, and stability of ElasticPress.io and SiteWatch by ensuring a flawless front-end experience for our users.

About you:

You are an effective communicator. You excel at explaining technical front-end concepts in client-friendly terms, possess strong empathy for user issues, and thrive in written client interactions.

You are a front-end WordPress pro. You are highly experienced with modern CSS, JavaScript, React.js, and Gutenberg block development, with a solid foundational understanding of PHP to navigate WordPress architectures safely.

You are an effective problem solver. You are highly skilled at debugging UI glitches, resolving CSS/JS conflicts, optimizing legacy theme codebases, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

You are adaptable and hyper-organized. You are comfortable managing a high workload and a ticketing queue, effortlessly switching contexts between 5–10 different client projects in a single day, and delivering high-quality work under varying demands.
