If you're intellectually curious, eager to learn, and ready to help restore ecosystems and protect natural resources, you’ll find your place here.</span></p></div><p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">We are looking for an <strong>Ecological </strong><strong data-start="292" data-end="312">Manager </strong>to lead our South Florida team of scientists and technical staff supporting restoration, mitigation, monitoring, and permitting projects. If you’re passionate about&nbsp;<strong data-start="462" data-end="513">restoration, sustainability, and growing people</strong> as much as projects, this role is for you.</span></p> <hr> <h2 data-start="563" data-end="586"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">What you’ll be doing</span></h2> <ul> <li data-start="590" data-end="755"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="590" data-end="625">Lead and develop a science team</strong> across multiple projects and, potentially, regions – including workload planning, staffing, coaching, and performance feedback.</span></li> <li data-start="758" data-end="885"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="758" data-end="795">Oversee project technical quality</strong> for restoration, mitigation, monitoring, and permitting efforts delivered by your team.</span></li> <li data-start="888" data-end="1030"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="888" data-end="922">Vet RFPs and new opportunities</strong> for technical fit, risk, and capacity; recommend pursuit strategies and assign appropriate project staff.</span></li> <li data-start="1033" data-end="1116"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Provide <strong data-start="1041" data-end="1104">high-level guidance and strategy through all project phases</strong>, including:</span> <ul> <li data-start="1121" data-end="1171"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proposal development and level-of-effort scoping</span></li> <li data-start="1176" data-end="1203"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Project onset and kickoff</span></li> <li data-start="1208" data-end="1254"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Field data collection and technical analysis</span></li> <li data-start="1259" data-end="1294"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Reporting, delivery, and closeout</span></li> </ul> </li> <li data-start="1297" data-end="1414"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="1297" data-end="1335">Review and enforce QA/QC processes</strong> to ensure that data, models, and deliverables meet RES and client standards.</span></li> <li data-start="1417" data-end="1531"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="1417" data-end="1446">Coordinate across regions</strong> to share best practices, data collection advancements, and training opportunities.</span></li> <li data-start="1534" data-end="1674"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with operations, sales, engineering, and construction teams to <strong data-start="1605" data-end="1638">solve complex site challenges</strong> and deliver integrated solutions.</span></li> <li data-start="1677" data-end="1825"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="1677" data-end="1714">Hire and onboard new team members</strong>, in collaboration with HR, including drafting position descriptions and participating as the hiring manager.</span></li> <li data-start="1828" data-end="1954"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Serve as a <strong data-start="1839" data-end="1859">technical mentor</strong> to staff, helping them set professional goals and grow into higher levels of responsibility.</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <h2 data-start="2550" data-end="2567"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:</span></h2> <ul> <li data-start="2585" data-end="2669"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="2585" data-end="2606">Bachelor’s degree</strong> in a natural or physical science or a closely related field.</span></li> <li data-start="2672" data-end="2825"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="2672" data-end="2708">10+ years of relevant experience</strong>, or <strong data-start="2713" data-end="2749">8+ years with an advanced degree</strong>, in ecology, environmental science, restoration, or a related discipline.</span></li> <li data-start="2828" data-end="2945"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated experience <strong data-start="2852" data-end="2889">managing multiple staff and teams</strong> (true people leadership, not just task coordination).</span></li> <li data-start="2948" data-end="3087"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="2948" data-end="3004">Firm understanding of the services and project types</strong> your team would support (e.g., restoration, mitigation, monitoring, permitting).</span></li> <li data-start="3090" data-end="3197"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience <strong data-start="3101" data-end="3144">assigning staff and balancing workloads</strong> across multiple concurrent projects and deadlines</span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">.</span></li> <li data-start="3090" data-end="3197"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="4407" data-end="4453">Excellent verbal and written communication</strong> with internal and external stakeholders.</span></li> <li data-start="3090" data-end="3197"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="4499" data-end="4535">Very strong interpersonal skills</strong> – approachable, credible, and able to build trust at all levels.</span></li> <li data-start="3090" data-end="3197"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated&nbsp;<strong data-start="4618" data-end="4659">conflict resolution and collaboration</strong> skills, particularly around staffing, priorities, and workload issues.</span></li> <li data-start="3090" data-end="3197"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong&nbsp;<strong data-start="4742" data-end="4776">people leadership and coaching</strong> mindset, including mentoring staff, providing constructive feedback, and supporting career growth.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="3438" data-end="3457">What will make you stand out?</strong></span></p> <ul> <li data-start="3438" data-end="3496"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong data-start="3438" data-end="3457">Advanced degree</strong> (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a relevant field.</span></li> <li data-start="3499" data-end="3712"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Additional professional certifications, such as <strong data-start="3547" data-end="3569">PWS</strong>, or appropriate and/or current <strong data-start="3601" data-end="3632">RTE species survey licenses</strong> or regional certifications (e.g., local EPSC, hydrologic professional, etc.).</span></li> <li data-start="3499" data-end="3712"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with NEPA assessments&nbsp;</span></li> <li data-start="3499"
