About the Role  The Intern fills a general analytical role across Freestone’s public market investment platform, which includes fixed income and equities. The Intern will work on a variety of projects under the direction of Portfolio Managers. The position is located at the Freestone headquarters office in Seattle, WA.  The Intern program lasts the summer, with continuous training and networking opportunities throughout. Well performing interns will assume increasing responsibilities and may be asked to stay on for an extended term. Exceptional Interns with a demonstrated interest in and aptitude for investments may be offered a full-time opportunity to stay on with Freestone long-term as an Associate.  Applications will close on Friday, October 16, provided we have received a sufficient number of qualified applicants. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Investment Analysis: Asset class research, manager research, and general investment diligence </li> <li>Portfolio Analysis: Support the portfolio managers in performing analysis on existing holdings, frequently with the intent of communicating conclusions and recommendations to clients or the investment committee </li> <li>Investment Resources: Assist with the production of written materials to educate Freestone advisors and clients on public market investments </li> <li>Administration: Maintenance of Freestone’s CRM, electronic files, operating / investment reports, and other corporate reporting </li> <li>Miscellaneous: Perform any such duty as necessary to support Freestone’s investment process </li> </ul> Qualifications & Skills <ul> <li>Rising Seniors with demonstrated interest in finance and investments as a potential career path </li> <li>Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills </li> <li>Well-rounded academic background complemented with strong performance in challenging courses </li> <li>Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines </li> <li>Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions </li> <li>Capability to manage projects independently and readiness to assume a high level of responsibility </li> <li>Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint </li> <li>Familiarity with programming, data analysis, or large language models (LLMs) a plus </li> <li>Experience using Bloomberg Terminal a plus </li> <li>Team oriented character with an exceptionally strong work ethic </li> <li>Self-starter with close attention to detail </li> <li>A high energy level personality with a positive attitude towards challenges </li> <li>Poised and polished professional with excellent oral and written communication skills </li> </ul> Why Join Us? <ul> <li>Potential for college credit if applicable.</li> <li>Catered lunches M-Th.</li> <li>The expected hourly wage for this position is $28/hr (relocation and housing assistance is not provided).</li> </ul> Our Core Values <ul> <li>Commitment: You bring passion, integrity, and energy to everything you do.</li> <li>Collaboration: Working together makes us stronger, smarter, and more innovative.</li> <li>Continuous Improvement: We’re all about growth—both for our clients and ourselves.</li> </ul> Freestone is an equal opportunity employer.
