This role focuses on understanding complex system behaviors, translating business rules into actionable technical requirements, and driving issue resolution across cross‑functional teams.</p> <p>This position supports a Boston, MA - based customer. The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Production Support &amp; Research Analysis</strong></p> <ul> <li>I<strong>nvestigate and troubleshoot</strong>&nbsp;complex system issues by analyzing data, system logic, and business rules.</li> <li><strong>Conduct deep‑dive research</strong>&nbsp;to understand current‑state processes, <strong>identify root causes</strong>, and recommend corrective actions.</li> <li>Recreate and validate<strong> </strong>issues through <strong>structured</strong> <strong>triage processes.</strong></li> <li>Translate system workflows&nbsp;and user behaviors into clear, actionable instructions for developers and QA.</li> <li>Document findings, assessments, and solution paths in a concise, structured format.</li> <li>Partner with client and developers to verify solution options, assess impacts, and ensure alignment with requirements.</li> <li>Provide knowledge transfer by explaining system logic, validation criteria, and expected outcomes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Business Analysis &amp; Requirements Development</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Analyze business processes </strong>to define requirements, identify gaps, and conceptualize future‑state workflows.</li> <li><strong>Gather and document </strong>detailed user requirements, user stories, use cases, test scenarios, and test cases.</li> <li>Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation (Lucid or similar tools).</li> <li>Present mockups, business rules, and data rules to stakeholders for review and approval.</li> <li>Translate business needs into<strong>&nbsp;functional and technical requirements</strong>&nbsp;that support solution design.</li> <li>Support project management activities including metrics, process evaluation, system analysis, and stakeholder reporting.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Enhancement Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with SMEs to define performance measures and data collection methodologies.</li> <li>Support feasibility assessments, impact analysis, and LOE development for enhancement requests.</li> <li><strong>Participate in testing activities to validate enhancements and ensure alignment with requirements.</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree required (additional relevant experience may substitute).</li> <li><strong>10+ years as a Business Analyst</strong>, with <strong>significant production support or application support experience</strong>.</li> <li>Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to <strong>self‑learn complex systems.</strong></li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.</li> <li>Experience documenting functional and technical workflows, business rules/conditions, and system logic.</li> <li>Ability to work <strong>independently, manage competing priorities, and drive issues to resolution.</strong></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Application Deadline:</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> 5/29/2025</span></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">#</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> LI-SA1</span></p> </div> </div> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
