If so, we invite you to join our team<br>supporting U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology &amp;<br>Logistics (SOF AT&amp;L), Program Executive Office for Maritime (PEO-M).</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THIS ROLE</strong></p> <p>St. Michael's is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide senior-level engineering and technical support to<br>SOF AT&amp;L PEO-M. This position is focused on the planning, management, and oversight of S&amp;T and R&amp;D initiatives<br>supporting advanced SOF maritime capabilities. The successful candidate will work with Government engineers,<br>program managers, S&amp;T organizations, operational stakeholders, and industry partners to evaluate emerging<br>technologies, develop technology roadmaps, support maritime communications and network architecture initiatives, and<br>transition promising technologies into operational capabilities.</p> <p><strong>LOCATION</strong></p> <p>MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL (On-site)<br>Travel: Up to 25%</p> <p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <p><strong>Security Clearance</strong></p> <p>• U.S. Citizenship required.<br>• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.</p> <p><strong>Certification</strong></p> <p>• DAWIA Advanced equivalency (formerly DAWIA Level III) in Engineering &amp; Technical Management, Program<br>Management, or Test &amp; Evaluation, or the ability to attain the required certification within six (6) months of hire with an<br>approved customer deferral.</p> <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <p>• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another closely related technical discipline.</p> <p><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p> <p>• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant systems engineering, technical, acquisition, S&amp;T, or R&amp;D experience.<br>• Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and DoD acquisition policy.<br>• Extensive experience planning, managing, or overseeing Science &amp; Technology (S&amp;T) and Research &amp; Development&nbsp;(R&amp;D) projects.<br>• Experience supporting Department of Defense acquisition programs.<br>• Experience supporting SOF acquisition S&amp;T and R&amp;D processes.<br>• Experience participating in, managing, or leading S&amp;T/R&amp;D working groups.<br>• Maritime systems experience is required.<br>• Experience supporting SOF or DoD maritime communications equipment, networks, systems, or planned&nbsp;architectures.<br>• Experience supporting maritime, undersea, surface, or maritime mission systems.<br>• Experience developing strategic technology plans and managing S&amp;T/R&amp;D portfolios.<br>• Experience developing technology roadmaps.<br>• Experience evaluating emerging technologies for potential transition into operational capabilities.<br>• Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering, technical, and acquisition teams.<br>• Experience preparing senior-leadership briefings, technical assessments, recommendations, and engineering&nbsp;documentation.</p> <p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p> <p>• Experience supporting SOF AT&amp;L or USSOCOM acquisition organizations.<br>• Knowledge of SOF-unique acquisition processes.<br>• Experience supporting Naval Special Warfare.<br>• Experience transitioning S&amp;T or R&amp;D technologies into acquisition programs or operational use.</p> <p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>• Provide systems engineering and technical support to SOF maritime S&amp;T and R&amp;D programs.<br>• Support planning, management, and oversight of S&amp;T/R&amp;D projects and technology portfolios.<br>• Evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability to SOF maritime mission requirements.<br>• Support development of technology strategies, roadmaps, investment priorities, and transition plans.<br>• Participate in and support S&amp;T/R&amp;D technical working groups.<br>• Support engineering efforts involving maritime communications equipment, networks, and system architectures.<br>• Evaluate engineering programs, development plans, technical concepts, and proposed solutions.<br>• Support market research and technical evaluation of emerging technologies.<br>• Develop technical recommendations and decision-support materials for Government leadership.<br>• Support engineering planning, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and technical strategies.<br>• Review engineering documentation, technical specifications, engineering change proposals, waivers, deviations, and&nbsp;technical studies.<br>• Support Government engineering activities during design, development, testing, production, and technology transition.<br>• Prepare executive briefings and technical status reports.<br>• Analyze technical and program performance indicators and recommend corrective actions.<br>• Identify engineering and technology-transition risks and recommend mitigation strategies.<br>• Coordinate activities across Government organizations, contractors, industry partners, research organizations, and&nbsp;operational stakeholders.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><div> <p><strong>WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?</strong></p> <p>At St. Michael’s, we believe in rewarding hard work and supporting the people who keep our country safe.
