If so, we invite you to join our team supporting U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special<br>Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology &amp; Logistics (SOF AT&amp;L), Program Executive Office for Maritime (PEO-M).</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THIS ROLE</strong></p> <p>St. Michael's is seeking an experienced Maritime Systems Engineer to support SOF AT&amp;L PEO-M. PEO-M develops,<br>fields, and sustains SOF-unique maritime capabilities, including crewed and uncrewed surface and undersea platforms,<br>combat diving systems, and specialized mission equipment. In this role, you will provide senior-level engineering support<br>throughout the acquisition lifecycle, working with Government engineers, program managers, contractors, budget<br>personnel, and operational stakeholders to evaluate designs, assess engineering risks, support testing and certification,<br>review engineering changes, and help transition maritime capabilities into operational use.</p> <p><strong>LOCATION</strong></p> <p>MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL (On-site)<br>Travel: Up to 25%</p> <p><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p> <p><strong>Security Clearance</strong></p> <p>• U.S. Citizenship required.<br>• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.</p> <p><strong>Certification</strong></p> <p>• DAWIA Practitioner equivalency (formerly DAWIA Level II) in Engineering, Program Management, or Science &amp;<br>Technology (S&amp;T), or the ability to attain the required certification within six (6) months of hire with an approved<br>deferral.</p> <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <p>• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.</p> <p><strong>Required Experience</strong></p> <p>• Minimum of ten (10) years of systems engineering or systems integration experience supporting acquisition programs.<br>• Hands-on maritime or Naval engineering experience is required.<br>• Experience supporting U.S. Navy or commercial submarine, submersible, Naval ship, surface vessel, or comparable&nbsp;maritime system design, construction, certification, and testing processes.<br>• Experience supporting undersea, surface vessel, maritime mobility, or maritime mission systems.<br>• Experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting engineering design concepts and technical drawings.<br>• Experience working with computer-aided design or graphical interface systems.<br>• Experience developing test requirements, test objectives, and test plans.<br>• Experience supporting system testing, certification, qualification, or acceptance activities.<br>• Experience evaluating emerging scientific, environmental, or engineering technologies for incorporation into system&nbsp;planning, design, operation, maintenance, repair, or modernization.<br>• Experience supporting engineering program planning, acquisition activities, budget cycles, and financial control&nbsp;processes.<br>• Experience reviewing engineering change proposals, waivers, deviations, nonconforming materials, technical&nbsp;specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and engineering studies.<br>• Experience supporting engineering activities throughout design, development, production, testing, fielding, and&nbsp;sustainment.</p> <p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p> <p>• Master's degree in an Engineering field with at least eight (8) years of systems engineering or systems integration&nbsp;experience supporting acquisition programs.<br>• Experience supporting SOF maritime programs or Naval Special Warfare capabilities.<br>• Knowledge of SOF-unique acquisition processes.<br>• Experience supporting combat diving systems or specialized SOF maritime mission equipment.</p> <p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>• Provide systems engineering and systems integration support throughout the acquisition lifecycle.<br>• Evaluate engineering programs, development plans, designs, specifications, and technical approaches.<br>• Support planning and approval of engineering projects in coordination with program managers, engineering&nbsp;authorities, and budget personnel.<br>• Develop technical inputs for leadership briefings addressing program status, engineering challenges, risks, and&nbsp;recommended resolutions.<br>• Support technical evaluations and market research activities.<br>• Review engineering designs, specifications, cost estimates, design calculations, schedules, cost proposals, and&nbsp;engineering studies.<br>• Review engineering change proposals, requests for waivers and deviations, and nonconforming materials.<br>• Support contract modifications and provide technical recommendations related to engineering changes.<br>• Develop and evaluate test requirements, objectives, plans, and engineering performance measures.<br>• Support Government surveillance of design, development, testing, and production activities.<br>• Analyze engineering performance indicators and recommend corrective actions.<br>• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.<br>• Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement of engineering processes.<br>• Coordinate engineering activities across Government, contractor, and operational organizations.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><div> <p><strong>WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?</strong></p> <p>At St. Michael’s, we believe in rewarding hard work and supporting the people who keep our country safe.
