We are a team of engineers, operators, entrepreneurs, and partners driven by a shared ambition to set the new performance standard for renewable energy and grid resilience.   About the Role – Manufacturing Shift Lead We are seeking a Manufacturing Shift Lead to oversee day-to-day production activities for our Energy Storage Systems. This role is responsible for coordinating technicians on shift, ensuring manufacturing processes are followed, and delivering safe, high-quality output in line with production plans. The Shift Lead is a working leader — visible on the floor, hands-on when needed, and accountable for execution. You will allocate labor and resources, track plan versus actual performance, and serve as the first level of escalation for quality, safety, and throughput issues. This role is critical as Peak Energy scales from pilot builds into repeatable, scaled ESS manufacturing. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability production environment.   What You'll Do <ul class="[li_&]:mb-0 [li_&]:mt-1 [li_&]:gap-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3"> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Lead and coordinate technicians during assigned shifts to meet production goals</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Assign work, balance labor, and adjust resources in real time based on priorities and constraints</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Serve as the primary point of contact for shift execution and issue escalation</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Support technician onboarding, training, and adherence to standard work</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Ensure manufacturing processes, work instructions, and safety procedures are followed</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Verify readiness at shift start including materials, tools, staffing, and documentation</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Identify deviations from standard work and take immediate corrective action</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Support process changes and controlled rollouts in collaboration with Engineering and Quality</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Own shift-level quality performance, including key quality KPIs such as defects, rework, yield, and scrap</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Perform and oversee in-process and final inspections as required</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Ensure defects are documented, contained, and escalated appropriately</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Drive root cause and corrective action efforts for recurring quality issues</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Track daily production output against plan and identify gaps</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Communicate status, risks, and blockers to manufacturing and operations leadership</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Maintain accurate shift handoff notes, production logs, and quality records</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Support data collection for throughput, downtime, and quality reporting</li> <li class="font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Champion safety on the floor;
