HVAC Service Technician - DMG North at Ambient

We offer an excellent benefit package, competitive salary, and a great family atmosphere.</p> <p><strong>HVAC Technician</strong></p> <p>Perform skilled mechanical duties in the startup, repairs, installation, preventive maintenance, and routine servicing of HVAC equipment.</p> <p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>On site startup technician for various manufactures</li> <li><strong>Troubleshoot installation of control systems including working on commercial Daikin, Aaeon, LG HVAC systems</strong></li> <li>Solving issues using reasoning and logic&nbsp;</li> <li>Communication with individuals who installed the system</li> <li>Programming of new control system using touchscreens and computers</li> <li>Documentation of actions taken on the job site on service reports&nbsp;</li> <li>Understanding and reading wiring diagrams during troubleshooting</li> <li>Completing all startup documentation and sending it to be entered for warranty</li> <li>Perform other duties and assignments.</li> <li>Maintain regular good attendance</li> </ul> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>HVAC trade practices and industry standards</li> <li>HVAC and refrigeration system theory</li> <li>Materials, methods, and tools used in the installation, operation, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems</li> <li>Understanding of Electrical theory and how it is used in equipment common to the HVAC trade</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret manuals</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Brazing and soldering techniques</li> <li>Applicable health and safety regulations</li> <li>Basic record‑keeping practices</li> <li>Proper storage and handling of equipment, materials, and supplies</li> </ul> <p><strong>Advanced Technical Knowledge:</strong></p> <ul> <li>LG, AAON commercial HVAC systems, and commercial package units</li> <li>VRF systems, with expert-level understanding of refrigerant properties.</li> <li>HVAC controls systems and related troubleshooting</li> <li>Automated temperature control systems</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Mechanical, electrical, and hydronic systems relevant to commercial HVAC applications</li> <li>Modern, computer‑based HVAC platforms; ability to navigate email, internet applications, basic office software, and computer networking</li> <li>BMS communication systems and functionality</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret HVAC wiring schematics</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or G.E.D.
