Utility Worker at Via

From changing a single person’s daily commute to reducing humanity’s collective environmental footprint — we’ve got huge goals.</p> <p>As a&nbsp;<strong>Utility Worker</strong>&nbsp;at Via, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facilities, vehicles, and grounds. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly through a wide range of maintenance and support tasks.</p> <p><strong>On-the-job training is provided</strong>, and no prior transit experience is required. This is in person at our Tulare location</p> <h4><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Upkeep, sanitize, and detail buses and support vehicles to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for riders and staff.</li> <li>Perform general building and grounds upkeep, including custodial tasks and minor repairs, ensuring facilities are clean, orderly, and operating safely.</li> <li>Support the operations team with miscellaneous responsibilities as they arise, including moving equipment, organizing workspaces, and assisting with special projects.</li> <li><strong>Additional duties&nbsp;</strong>will be discussed during the interview and may evolve based on operational needs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hold a valid driver’s license.</li> <li>Dynamic; willing to wear multiple hats and work on projects of all types.</li> <li>An action-oriented executor: you take initiative to solve problems and get the job done.</li> <li>Successful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.</li> <li>Able to pass a pre-employment physical.</li> <li>Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets.</li> <li>At least 21 years old.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills.</li> <li>Salary: Starting at $20.88/hour&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.</li> </ul> <p>There has never been a more exciting time to be on the cutting edge of public mobility.
