From changing a single person’s daily commute to reducing humanity’s collective environmental footprint — we’ve got huge goals.</p> <p>As a <strong>Field Manager – Data, Optimization &amp; AI </strong>on Via’s Operations team, you are the force that keeps our services running reliably for the communities that depend on them. This is a high-ownership, boots-on-the-ground role where you’ll lead the daily operations of our <a href="https://www.omnibusrevue.de/nachrichten/management/on-demand-verkehre-rmv-verzeichnet-drei-millionen-fahrgaeste-3676206"><strong>on-demand RMV services</strong></a> across the greater Frankfurt area, tackle real-time challenges, drive optimization, and ensure our riders are transported safely and reliably.</p> <p>A big part of the role is optimizing how our field team and service operate: using data to quickly answer operational questions, identify opportunities, improve processes, and lead AI and automation projects. You’ll have a unique opportunity to combine hands-on operations with innovation and help shape the future of on-demand passenger transportation in the region.</p> <p><em>This role is based in the greater Frankfurt area, with the expectation that you will be on-site at least 3 days per week</em></p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Run daily onsite operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for our riders.</li> <li>Drive continuous optimization across the field team and service, leveraging data, technology, AI, and automation — including leading AI projects from idea to implementation.</li> <li>Make real-time decisions on fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and unexpected issues — using data to quickly diagnose problems and keep service running smoothly.</li> <li>Guide and support drivers, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to improve field team performance.</li> <li>Turn rider and community feedback into actionable improvements, using data to spot patterns and address root causes.</li> <li>Act as the bridge between Via's partners, drivers, and Via central teams, quickly pulling data to answer questions, solve problems, and drive improvements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Operationally experienced</strong> in people management, logistics, customer service, or other process-oriented work.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Relationship-oriented</strong> and a strong communicator, able to build trust with drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners and find the right tone at every level.</li> <li><strong>Hands-on and proactive</strong>, comfortable taking responsibility for employees, being in the field, and solving problems where they happen — even under pressure.</li> <li><strong>Data-driven, structured, and digitally savvy,</strong> using analytics and AI tools to solve problems, prioritize effectively, and improve our services.</li> <li><strong>Tactical and strategic</strong>, able to tackle issues in real time while thinking ahead and building solutions that prevent them from recurring.</li> <li>You have a proficiency level of at least C1 in both German and English.</li> <li>You have a valid drivers license in Germany, class B.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Base salary range: €45-55k.
