About the Role

<table width="638"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="638"> <p>Job Description: Provide direct, exceptional dermatological and cosmetic care to patients</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="638"> <p><strong><u>Cosmetic </u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Performs cosmetic consultations and develops individualized aesthetic treatment plans based on patient goals and expectations</li> <li>Provides cosmetic injectable treatments including neurotoxins (Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Daxxify®) and dermal fillers for facial rejuvenation and contouring</li> <li>Assesses facial anatomy and demonstrates advanced understanding of cosmetic injection techniques and patient safety protocol</li> <li>Performs laser and light-based treatments including IPL, laser resurfacing, vascular lesion treatment, pigment reduction, hair removal, and skin rejuvenation procedures</li> <li>Provides cosmetic procedures including chemical peels, microneedling, PRP/PRF treatments, scar revision therapies, and other non-surgical aesthetic services</li> <li>Educates patients on cosmetic treatment options, skincare regimens, pre- and post-procedure care, expected outcomes, and maintenance plans</li> <li>Identifies and manages potential cosmetic treatment complications and adverse reactions appropriately and timely<br>&nbsp;Works collaboratively with supervising physicians and aesthetic staff to ensure high-quality cosmetic outcomes and patient satisfaction</li> <li>&nbsp;Maintains knowledge of current cosmetic dermatology trends, products, devices, and emerging technologies through continuing education<strong><u> </u></strong>and training</li> <li>Promotes practice growth through cosmetic patient retention, community outreach, patient education, and development of long-term aesthetic treatment relationships</li> <li>Documents cosmetic consultations, procedures, patient photographs, informed consent, and follow-up care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record</li> <li>&nbsp;Assists in maintaining compliance with all safety standards and protocols related to cosmetic lasers, devices, and injectable treatments</li> <li>&nbsp;Experience with medical-grade skincare products and ability to recommend appropriate treatment regimens to support procedural outcomes preferred</li> <li>&nbsp;Ability to build rapport with cosmetic patients while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced aesthetic environment</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Professional</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;Demonstrates initiative and responsibility</li> <li>&nbsp;Able to perform repetitive tasks without loss of focus</li> <li>Adheres to ethical principles</li> <li>Time Management</li> <li>Adapts to change</li> <li>Attends all team meetings and mandatory in-service training/education</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Communication</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Recognizes and respects cultural diversity</li> <li>Adapts communication to individual’s ability to understand</li> <li>Uses professional, pleasant telephone etiquette</li> <li>Uses medical terminology appropriately</li> <li>Treats all patients and co-workers with compassion, empathy, and mutual respect</li> <li>Projects a professional manner and image</li> <li>Consistent attendance and punctuality</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Legal</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintains confidentiality and documents accurately</li> <li>Uses appropriate guidelines for releasing patient information</li> <li>Practices within the scope of education, training, and personal capabilities</li> <li>Conducts self in accordance with Suncoast’s Employee Handbook.</li> <li>Maintains awareness of federal and state health care legislation and regulations; OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Physical Demands</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Prolonged standing/walking</li> <li>Occasional travel</li> <li>Multitasking</li> <li>Repetitive head, neck, hands wrists and arm motion/rotation</li> <li>Extensive reading, writing, typing required</li> <li>Lifting to 25lbs</li> <li>Frequent use of office administrative, computer and medical equipment</li> <li>Transferring and positioning patients</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Qualifications and Education Requirements</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Possession of a bachelor’s and master’s degree, together with a certificate from completing an American Medical Association approved physician assistant/APRN program</li> <li>Experience with cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic procedures required, including injectables, lasers, body contouring, and advanced skincare treatments</li> <li>Possession of active Florida medical license</li> <li>May possess a National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) issued certificate</li> <li>Possession of state and federal Controlled Substance Registration</li> <li>Some clinical experience in an area of specialty</li> <li>Knowledgeable in computer programs, EMR systems, customer service, excellent verbal communication skills</li> </ul> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
