About the Role

AXS is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys and thrives in working with a variety of tools, languages, and architectures while building features and applications for our core ticketing systems. You will work on B2B applications that can scale and handle high demand, as well as complex enterprise systems that meet our global needs.    What You’ll Be Doing  <ul> <li>Design and build new features and enhancements for our global ticketing platforms </li> <li>Optimize for user experience and performance in scaling out our applications to handle massive spikes in traffic </li> <li>Build scalable modules for internal applications and external partners </li> <li>Create services that power the core of our infrastructure, implementing APIs and features for our mission critical products </li> <li>Work closely with other engineers, architects, business analysts, product and project managers to create innovative solutions that continue to push the boundaries of our business </li> <li>Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code </li> <li>Develop consistent, well tested code on Open-Source Programming Languages and Frameworks. </li> <li>Work with third parties to make a seamless and integrated experience for our customers and fans </li> <li>Deep domain expertise, often the go-to engineer in a specific area </li> <li>Designs cross team solutions and influences architecture </li> <li>Leads technically complex initiatives </li> <li>Drives process and tooling improvements at org level </li> <li>Mentors across multiple teams </li> </ul>   What to Bring  <ul> <li>6+ years of relevant software development experience within a professional environment </li> <li>BS in Computer Science or a related technical field </li> <li>Solid experience with Web Technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript </li> <li>Experience with frameworks and interfaces such as ReactJS or NextJS </li> <li>Proficiency with C#, .NET core and its ecosystems </li> <li>Experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL </li> <li>Excellent communication skills </li> <li>Solid technical foundation and understanding of the software development life cycle </li> <li>Proven record of learning new languages, skills and technologies quickly, with minimal guidance </li> <li>Takes initiative, stays focused, always accountable.  </li> <li>Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to focus on achieving the target while minding longer term goals along the way </li> </ul>   Nice to Have  <ul> <li>Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code. </li> <li>Experience building large scale high performance transactional systems and platforms </li> <li>Solid technical foundation and experience with building Single Page Applications </li> <li>Experience with development in Open-Source Technologies such as NodeJS </li> <li>Experience building and deploying re-usable JS modules, and Micro Front Ends </li> <li>Experience building mobile and responsive UI </li> <li>Experience with Git and CI/CD </li> <li>Experience with event-driven technologies, e.g. Kafka </li> <li>Experience with TDD and/or BDD </li> <li>Experience using NOSQL databases such as Elasticsearch or AWS DynamoDB </li> <li>Experience in the ticketing industry, inventory management systems or e-commerce</li> </ul>   Pay Scale: $131,400-$148,500 Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements Benefits: Full-time: We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: medical, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, company paid basic life insurance, voluntary life insurance, parental leave, 401k Plan (with a current employer match of 3%), flexible spending and health savings account options, and wellness offerings.
