Bring your enthusiasm, your big ideas, and your desire to team up with some of the best and brightest in technology and entertainment.   The Role AXS is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team and help power experiences for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.  In this role, you’ll build and scale the ticketing systems that connect millions of fans to unforgettable moments.  We’re looking for someone who thrives working across a mix of tools, languages, and architectures, and enjoys turning complex challenges into seamless, high-impact solutions.  You’ll develop B2B applications designed for massive demand, while contributing to enterprise systems that support global audiences at scale.     What You’ll Be Doing  <ul> <li>Lead the implementation of large features or subsystems from design through delivery </li> <li>Actively contribute to architectural discussions and help shape long-term technical direction </li> <li>Design and deliver new features and enhancements for our global ticketing platforms </li> <li>Build resilient, high-performance applications that scale seamlessly during extreme traffic spikes </li> <li>Create and maintain services that power our core infrastructure, including APIs for mission-critical products </li> <li>Develop scalable modules for both internal systems and external partner integrations </li> <li>Partner with third-party providers to create seamless, end-to-end experiences for customers and fans </li> <li>Take ownership of technical quality, scalability, and system reliability </li> <li>Write clean, consistent, and well-tested code using modern open-source languages and frameworks </li> <li>Participate in design and code reviews to uphold best practices and maintain high code quality </li> <li>Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions </li> <li>Mentor team members and provide technical guidance to elevate the team’s capabilities </li> <li>Drive continuous improvements in team workflows, tools, and engineering practices </li> </ul>    What to Bring  <ul> <li>6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of large features or systems </li> <li>BS in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) </li> <li>Deep understanding of system design, distributed architecture, and engineering trade-offs </li> <li>Strong command of the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and observability </li> <li>Expertise in C# and .NET Core, with a strong grasp of the surrounding ecosystem </li> <li>Proven track record of designing, scaling, and versioning RESTful APIs within distributed microservices architectures </li> <li>Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle), including performance tuning and data modeling </li> <li>Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in cloud environments </li> <li>Track record of building and operating high-scale, high-availability transactional systems </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies in complex environments </li> <li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams </li> <li>High ownership mindset with strong accountability for system quality, scalability, and reliability </li> <li>Thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing immediate delivery with long-term architectural health </li> </ul>  Nice to Have  <ul> <li>Experience building and maintaining multi-platform SDKs or shared codebases </li> <li>Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or Kotlin Native </li> <li>Mobile development experience on iOS and/or Android </li> <li>Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular </li> <li>Familiarity with designing cohesive experiences across web and mobile platforms </li> <li>Experience working with AWS and cloud-native architectures </li> <li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform </li> <li>Experience with event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka) and asynchronous architectures </li> <li>Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines </li> <li>Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and/or behavior-driven development (BDD) </li> <li>Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Elasticsearch or DynamoDB </li> <li>Domain experience in ticketing, inventory management systems, or e-commerce platforms </li> </ul>   At AXS, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but can't "check every box" in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
