About the Role

Lasko Products, a market leader for nearly 120 years in home comfort products, including portable fans, heaters and air purifiers, is seeking a Compliance Certification Engineer to join our team in our West Chester, PA headquarters.  This role is more than a traditional compliance function - it is a key enabler of successful product launches by ensuring regulatory readiness, certification execution, and compliance excellence. The role focuses on product certification documentation, regulatory submissions, and compliance testing. This is a full-time, in-office position. You will apply regulatory requirements and relevant standards to ensure product compliance, while also supporting sustainability initiatives and leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency across compliance processes.   Primary Responsibilities <ul> <li>Prepare, review, and submit regulatory certification documentation and test reports to third-party agencies (UL, CSA, ETL, etc.)</li> <li>Coordinate regulatory submissions and manage certification projects from initiation through approval, including scheduling and tracking with test labs</li> <li>Review engineering drawings, specifications, Bill of materials and change notices to determine certification requirements and develop project scope</li> <li>Maintain certification files, test records, internal compliance databases, and project tracking tools</li> <li>Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion of certification activities</li> <li>Organize, track, pack, and ship samples to external test laboratories as needed</li> <li>Support product development teams by providing compliance guidance for new products and design changes, and communicate required corrective actions</li> <li>Participate in industry working groups such as AHAM and HVI committees, and maintain awareness of updates to applicable UL and other regulatory standards and communicate impacts to the team</li> <li>Track certification-related invoices, maintain budget tracker and maintain certifications/listings, including renewals and annual reporting</li> <li>Support sustainability-related compliance initiatives, including energy efficiency, RoHS requirements, and environmental compliance expectations.</li> <li>Prepare and submit documentation for regulatory programs such as EPA, HVI, and CARB</li> <li>Drive process improvements, including use of AI tools, to improve certification efficiency and compliance documentation workflows</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>  Testing Support <ul> <li>Perform limited in-house compliance and pre-compliance testing as needed (heat rise, power input, leakage current, endurance, abnormal operation, and basic environmental evaluations)</li> <li>Assist in evaluating products for compliance with applicable standards such as UL 507, UL 1278, UL 1004, UL 746C, and UL/CSA 60335</li> <li>Support troubleshooting activities and maintain basic test equipment's</li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred</li> <li>1–3 years of experience in compliance, certification, testing, or related engineering role preferred</li> <li>Ability to review engineering documents such as BOMs, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics</li> <li>Strong documentation skills with attention to detail for regulatory submissions</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and tracking</li> <li>Ability to coordinate with external labs and manage certification timelines</li> <li>Basic hands-on skills to support limited in-house testing, including safe use of hand tools</li> <li>Familiarity with regulatory standards (UL, CSA, ETL etc.) is a plus</li> <li>Experience with regulatory submissions (UL, EPA, HVI, CARB) is a plus</li> <li>Experience applying sustainability and environmental compliance requirements in a product compliance setting</li> <li>Familiarity with AI tools for documentation and workflow efficiency is a plus</li> </ul> How You’ll be measured <ul> <li>Timely completion of certification submissions and testing per project schedule</li> <li>Accuracy and completeness of regulatory documents and submission packages</li> <li>Effective coordination with third-party labs and certification agencies</li> <li>Proper organization and maintenance of compliance records and project data</li> <li>Timely follow-up and closure of certification action items</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">About Lasko Products  Better Air Starts Here.  Lasko Products is the leading air solutions brand with a reputation for reliable products, peak performance, and perpetual innovation – our commitment to our customers for over a century.
