For more information, visit&nbsp;<a href="http://www.shift4.com/" target="_blank">www.shift4.com</a>.</span></p> </div> </div> </div></div><p>We are seeking a commercially oriented Legal Counsel with strong experience in commercial contracts and data privacy within the fintech or payment sector to join the Commercial Legal Team, Europe.</p> <p><strong data-path-to-node="7,0" data-index-in-node="100">This role is open to candidates based in Spain, Italy, the UK, Malta or Germany.</strong></p> <p>The ideal candidate will support the company’s business growth by providing practical, risk-aware legal advice while ensuring compliance with company’s policies and applicable regulations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements, including partnership and client contracts.</li> <li>Support the sales team by helping structure deals, enable innovation, and drive commercial initiatives while identifying legal risks and providing practical solutions.</li> <li>Provide data protection and privacy advice, including GDPR and other applicable frameworks.</li> <li>Collaborate with different stakeholders in the company.</li> <li>Develop templates, training materials and draft privacy related policies.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Law degree.</li> <li>5+ years of experience practicing law in Europe, either at a Law Firm or as an in-house counsel, in fintech or payments environment.</li> <li>Strong experience in commercial contracts, negotiations and data protection/privacy law (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA).</li> <li>Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a business-focused approach.</li> <li>Fluent in English (both written and spoken).</li> <li>Additional language proficiency (in either Spanish, Italian, German or other European language) are a significant advantage.</li> <li>Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.</li> </ul> <p>Preferred Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Pragmatic and commercially minded.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.</li> <li>Interest in innovation, technology, and financial services.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-EB1</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><em>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.</em></span></p> <hr> <p>&nbsp;</p></div>
