About the Role

We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.</div>  We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Principal Industrial Designer remotely. Eye for clean, visually impactful designs that are current and fresh.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Exceptional ability to communicate design concepts through hand sketches, mock-ups, and models; from 3D prints to full appearance models to early prototypes.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A great sensitivity to color, aesthetics, and materiality, and the ability to translate trends into compelling products. Very skilled at CMF.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A high level of knowledge in manufacturing methods and ability to use this knowledge as a creative asset rather than limitation. Significant experience in DFM.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Highly proficient in CAD (Rhino, Pro-E, SolidWorks) and visualization tools, and expertly use this to gain alignment with engineering and product stakeholders.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Highly proficient in a 3D rendering program (Keyshot or similar).</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work cross-functionally with Brand and Marketing to continuously develop understanding of the end-to-end iFIT customer journey as well as creating products that not only represent our brand but strengthen it and define it.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Design prototypes to rapidly assess the viability of ideas and potential directions or solutions. Work closely with UX to define product experiences and prototype them for discovery and definition purposes.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work through problems, translating insights from research and analytics into concepts, components, products, and solutions that drive the business forward and empower our customers in their own journeys.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Create a solid relationship specifically with development teams to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of design implementation. Provide support and guidance during the development process to maintain design integrity. Communicate design concepts effectively, gather feedback, and iterate designs based on insights.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Seek out feedback from stakeholders to drive consensus and mine for purpose, working together to derive the optimal outcome, given the constraints and priorities.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work closely with our consumer insights team to conduct thorough user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Analyze data and derive insights to inform design decisions.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Advocate for the importance of design choices and best practices within the broader team. Communicate the rationale behind visual decisions and help others understand the impact on user experience.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability across different platforms and devices.</li> <li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, CMF, and emerging technologies in industrial design.
