Today, MiniCo is a member of the Jencap Program Administrators division, offering multiple specialty property and casualty insurance products for a variety of unique industries and exposures.  The Accounting Assistant (Receivables) will work a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix AZ office  Responsibilities:    <ul> <li>Post payments to invoices</li> <li>Take payment calls</li> <li>Respond to accounting emails in Inquiry inbox</li> <li>Follow up and send past due notices</li> <li>Issue disbursement of commissions and refunds</li> <li>Function as back-up to all AR positions, filling in as needed for PTO coverage</li> <li>Prepare 1099 annual reporting</li> <li>Call on outstanding checks to reissue payment</li> </ul> Requirements:  <ul> <li>2-year degree (preferred) or equivalent of at least 2 years’ experience in practical accounting environment. </li> <li>Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial software applications Prepare audit workpapers at year end and assist in audit completion</li> <li>Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial software applications Knowledge of accounting PC applications. </li> <li>Extremely detail oriented as well as speedy and accurate with a strong commitment to and regard for tight deadlines. </li> <li>Excellent communication skills and knowledge of online EDP environment. </li> </ul> The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
