At Old Second we embrace values that foster an environment of community and growth.&nbsp; Recently, we've been voted a Forbes Best-In-State Bank for Illinois by our customers.&nbsp; Be a part of something big as we continue our growth story together!</p></div><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>The Portfolio Manager is responsible for supporting the Banking Team in Community Banking through middle-market segments, i.e., companies with annual revenues up to $50million.&nbsp;</p> <p>The Portfolio Manager manages client portfolios with activities that - include: tracking, collecting &amp; monitoring financial data, covenant testing, Term Loan Review preparation and corresponding with clients and outside counsel as appropriate.&nbsp; Regularly interacts with internal Commercial Relationship Managers &amp; Credit teams and internal/external business partners.&nbsp; Persons interested in this position should want to move toward the Line/Business Development.</p> <p><strong>Primary Job Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Engages in portfolio and risk management of banking team clients ensuring compliance with bank credit policies and procedures.</li> <li>As requested by the Relationship Manager, engages in co-management of client relationships with a focus on client financial analysis.</li> <li>Tracks and monitors completion of required covenant testing and annual Term Loan Review preparation via Bank’s credit underwriting group.</li> <li>Supports the Loan renewal process by collecting and reviewing client financial information to support approvals.</li> <li>Assists in the preparation of CAMs with credit oversight.</li> <li>Assesses and clears past due collateral exceptions.</li> <li>Tracks and records property insurance</li> <li>Partners with Commercial Relationship Manager liaising with bank clients, the Commercial Credit team, Commercial support/operations and internal/external business partners.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Secondary Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>In partnership with Commercial Relationship Manager, identifies and engages with clients in support of Bank’s portfolio management efforts.</li> <li>May participate in loan approval process by contributing to the creation of Loan Committee presentations.</li> <li>May visit clients with Commercial Relationship Manager as appropriate.</li> <li>Work closely with Banking Team CLA’s to clear exception items, board new business and move client relationships forward.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements:&nbsp; Non-Officer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and some formal commercial credit training or experience; or a position held in a related field.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum requirements (Officer)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and two or more years of formal commercial credit experience or a position held in a related field.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements (AVP)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and three or more years of formal commercial credit experience or a position held in a related field.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of balance sheets and income statements</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li> <li>General Banking (Credit/Debit) knowledge</li> <li>Working knowledge of credit u/w documents</li> <li>Familiarity of Commercial underwriting guidelines</li> <li>Consultative skills and client relationship management</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location Details&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>This position is considered a hybrid role.&nbsp; With management approval, an incumbent may work a combination of remote and onsite work to perform the regular responsibilities of the role.&nbsp; Actual schedule requirements may vary based upon business needs.</p> <p><em>Note: Job levels and hiring decisions are based upon both the business needs of the department and the qualifications of the incumbent.&nbsp; In some cases, an incumbent may meet the requirements of an Officer or AVP level Portfolio Manager but may be hired in at a lower level based upon business needs and staffing dynamics.</em></p> <hr> <p><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <p><strong>Portfolio Manager</strong></p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Base pay:</strong>&nbsp; $62,000 - $80,000&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Portfolio Manager Officer</strong></p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Base Pay:&nbsp; </strong>$69,000 - $90,000</p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Officer Bonus Eligible:</strong>&nbsp; Eligible to participate in the Annual Officer Incentive plan with a target bonus up to 10% of base salary based various performance components.</p> <p><strong>AVP Portfolio Manager</strong></p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Base Pay:&nbsp; </strong>$78,000 - $100,000</p> <p style="padding-left: 40px;"><strong>Officer Bonus Eligible:</strong>&nbsp; Eligible to participate in the Annual Officer Incentive plan with a target bonus up to 15% of base salary based various performance components.</p> <p>Old Second is committed to fair and equitable pay practices.&nbsp;
