<p>Integrated Fire & Security Solutions is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm and Security Service Technician to join our team in Fort Myers, FL. This role focuses on servicing, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of low‑voltage systems, with emphasis on fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance equipment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, customer‑focused, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced field environment.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Perform service, repair, and troubleshooting on fire alarm, access control, security, and video surveillance systems.</li>
<li>Assist with minor installation tasks as needed, including conduit, wiring, and device installation.</li>
<li>Coordinate with customers onsite to communicate service needs, timelines, and system status.</li>
<li>Program, test, and verify system functionality across platforms such as Notifier, FireLite, Silent Knight, Lenel, DSX, Milestone, Salient, and DMP.</li>
<li>Provide basic end‑user training following service or repair.</li>
<li>Work with the Service Coordinator and Service Manager to schedule service calls and confirm availability of required materials and equipment.</li>
<li>Complete accurate service reports and documentation within SME (IFSS’s service management software).</li>
<li>Conduct quality‑control reviews of completed work to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable codes.</li>
<li>Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, NFPA and NEC requirements, and emerging technologies through ongoing training and seminars.</li>

<p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications</strong></p>
<div>
<ul>
<li>3–5 years of experience servicing low‑voltage systems or equivalent technical experience.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes related to fire alarm and security systems.</li>
<li>Ability to troubleshoot devices, panels, and system components across multiple low‑voltage platforms.</li>
<li>Strong communication and customer‑service skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently with strong problem‑solving abilities.</li>
<li>Proficiency with service‑related software, diagnostic tools, and general technology.</li>
<li>Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver’s license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Manufacturer‑specific training on IFSS core systems.</li>
<li>Technical school coursework in electronics, fire alarm technology, or low‑voltage systems.</li>
</ul>

Field positions may involve heavy lifting, working in varying climates (including outdoor conditions), construction or low-voltage environments, and exposure to dust, noise, or confined spaces. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required. Some roles may require travel.</em></span></p>
