But you can’t just take our word for it...apply today and join the WLG family. </span></p></div><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Position Summary:</strong> Medical Records Specialist at Witherite Law Group is responsible for managing and organizing all medical records and related documents for ongoing personal injury cases, particularly those involving motor vehicle accidents. This role involves ordering and following up on medical, billing, and radiology records, verifying subrogation liens, and maintaining accurate records in the case management system (Filevine). The Medical Records Specialist will also handle OCR and redaction of client records, ensuring they are prepared for Case Managers and Paralegals. Additionally, the role requires managing a large caseload, meeting deadlines, and maintaining effective communication with medical providers and clients.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Order medical records, billing records, radiology imaging, etc. with & without affidavit.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Follow up on pending records bi-weekly, pay invoices and schedule couriers.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Upload/Save all records received to our system (Filevine) as they arrive.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">OCR and redact clients’ records for Case Manager and Paralegals to use.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Search for subrogation liens (hospital, Medicaid/care, child support, etc.)</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Verify balances for all medical providers for demands or mediation.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Effectively manage a large case load, e-mails, a checklist and deadlines.</span></li>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</span></p>

<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software (Needles preferred)</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle accidents</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail</span></li>

<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.</span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer. </span></li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs. </span></li>
