Coordinator, Club Compliance and Ownership Affairs at Major League Baseball

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">MLB is looking for a Coordinator, Club Compliance &amp; Ownership Affairs to assist with the administration of Club ownership and compliance matters, while exercising a high level of professionalism, discretion, attention to detail and responsiveness.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with the review, processing and administration of ownership transactions for 30 Major League Clubs and 120 Minor League Clubs</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Serve as a resource for questions from Clubs relating to ownership related matters&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with rules</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with management of records relating to annual Club disclosures, ownership transactions and governance matters</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with the coordination of and preparation for various meetings involving MLB executives and Club owners, including drafting and distributing meeting materials and handling other logistical tasks</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Provide support and assistance with respect to related projects as needed</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">College graduate with at least two years of professional experience; experience working within the legal field (e.g., as a corporate paralegal or legal assistant) strongly preferred</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong attention to detail</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent writing and verbal communication skills</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Baseball industry experience is not required but baseball knowledge is a plus</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Available to work overtime, as needed</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Salary Range:</strong><span class="Apple-converted-space"> $60,000 - $67,500</span>&nbsp;(Base Salary) + Bonus</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
