If you're intellectually curious, eager to learn, and ready to help restore ecosystems and protect natural resources, you’ll find your place here.</div>We are looking for an EHS&S Specialist to join our team, in Lafayette, LA, covering LA, TX and FL regions.  The EHS&S Specialist will support RES operations throughout Louisiana, Texas, Florida, and other areas as assigned, ensuring environmental, health, safety, and security compliance across a wide variety of construction and ecological restoration projects. You’ll also provide office-based support (about 30%) by managing safety records, training programs, and compliance systems. You’ll be a trusted resource to both field teams and leadership, balancing proactive prevention with responsive solutions when incidents occur. If you’re energized by travel, working outdoors, and helping crews stay safe while delivering high-impact ecological projects, this job is for you. <hr data-start="1564" data-end="1567"> <h2 data-start="1569" data-end="1609">What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like</h2> Field Responsibilities (70%) <ul> <li data-start="1648" data-end="1707">Travel regularly to job sites across the assigned region. Company Vehicle will be provided</li> <li data-start="1710" data-end="1787">Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with all EHS&S program areas.</li> <li data-start="1790" data-end="1857">Provide corrective actions and real-time guidance to field crews.</li> <li data-start="1860" data-end="1928">Ensure crews are properly equipped with PPE and other safety gear.</li> <li data-start="1931" data-end="1988">Lead and document incident and accident investigations.</li> <li data-start="1991" data-end="2071">Triage worker injuries when needed and coordinate workers’ compensation cases.</li> <li data-start="2074" data-end="2133">Partner with Fleet Operations to verify fleet compliance.</li> </ul> Office Responsibilities (30%) <ul> <li data-start="2173" data-end="2233">Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety training programs.</li> <li data-start="2236" data-end="2327">Lead and participate in safety committee meetings with employees, clients, and suppliers.</li> <li data-start="2330" data-end="2407">Maintain compliance records and databases (Avetta, ISNetworld, and others).</li> <li data-start="2410" data-end="2465">Perform administrative and reporting duties remotely.</li> </ul> <hr data-start="2467" data-end="2470"> <h2 data-start="2472" data-end="2539">We Would Like to Talk to You If You Have Many of the Following</h2> <ul> <li data-start="2542" data-end="2584">2+ years of experience in a safety role.</li> <li data-start="2587" data-end="2681">Experience in a construction-related environment, with working knowledge of heavy equipment.</li> <li data-start="2684" data-end="2738">Familiarity with OSHA construction safety standards.</li> <li data-start="2741" data-end="2788">Ability and willingness to travel frequently.</li> </ul> <hr data-start="2790" data-end="2793"> <h2 data-start="2795" data-end="2828">What Will Make You Stand Out</h2> <ul> <li data-start="2831" data-end="2927">Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field.</li> <li data-start="2930" data-end="2969">OSHA 30 (Construction) certification.</li> <li data-start="2972" data-end="3049">Professional certifications (CSP, GSP, CHST, ASP) or willingness to obtain.</li> <li data-start="3052" data-end="3122">Experience using compliance platforms such as Avetta and ISNetworld.</li> <li data-start="3125" data-end="3185">Experience leading training and safety committee meetings.</li> </ul> <hr data-start="3187" data-end="3190"> <h2 data-start="3192" data-end="3232">You Will Thrive in This Role If You</h2> <ul> <li data-start="3235" data-end="3316">Communicate clearly and confidently with field crews, supervisors, and clients.</li> <li data-start="3319" data-end="3393">Can adapt quickly to changing site conditions and unexpected situations.</li> <li data-start="3396" data-end="3457">Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li> <li data-start="3460" data-end="3557">Bring a collaborative, team-first mindset while still able to take charge in urgent situations.</li> <li data-start="3560" data-end="3644">Are motivated by promoting a culture of safety and protecting people in the field.</li> </ul>  <div class="content-conclusion">Please note that the “Day in the Life” section is not intended to be an exhaustive list of job duties, but rather a representative snapshot of typical responsibilities and work experiences at RES.
