The ideal candidate thrives in a low-level systems environment and is passionate about anti-cheat engine development and security. We need a highly autonomous engineer who is comfortable in a small, focused team with minimal organizational overhead and values a trust-based, remote culture.</p> </div> <h3><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li class="" data-start="1153" data-end="1224">Contribute to the development and ongoing rewrite of the flagship anti-cheat engine in C and C++.</li> <li class="" data-start="1225" data-end="1306">Work closely with game studio clients to diagnose and fix bugs, ensuring the anti-cheat solution maintains high game performance without causing crashes.</li> <li class="" data-start="1307" data-end="1404">Analyze and reverse engineer new cheats identified by the security operations center to inform and drive engine updates.</li> <li class="" data-start="1405" data-end="1484">Proactively surface blockers and technical ideas concisely in a low-meeting environment.</li> <li class="" data-start="1485" data-end="1594">Participate in an environment that values deep work and technical ownership of the client-side codebase.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>&nbsp;Some Must-Haves:</strong></h3> <div> <ul> <li class="" data-start="1896" data-end="1965">Strong C and C++ proficiency; systems-level programming is essential for this role.</li> <li class="" data-start="1966" data-end="2012">Proven experience in Windows systems programming.</li> <li class="" data-start="2013" data-end="2095">Deep background in Security Engineering and experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.</li> <li class="" data-start="2096" data-end="2138">Experience using GitHub for version control and Jira for issue tracking.</li> <li class="" data-start="2139" data-end="2261">Highly autonomous and a clear communicator who can manage their own workload without being prompted.</li> </ul> </div> <div> <h3><strong>Where We're Looking For It:</strong></h3> Latin America</div> <div>Open to 100% Fully Remote</div> <h3><strong>Other Information</strong></h3> <p>The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it.
