About the Role: Nanit is seeking a Global Product Safety & Compliance Manager to lead our product regulatory, safety, and compliance programs across all markets. Reporting to the Chief Legal & Administrative Officer, this role will serve as the company’s subject matter expert on product safety governance, regulatory risk, and global certification requirements. You will partner cross-functionally with our Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Success teams to ensure compliance is embedded throughout the product lifecycle—from early design through post-market monitoring.  Parents trust Nanit during some of the most important moments of their lives. This role is critical to enabling responsible innovation at scale. <h2 style="text-align: left;">What You’ll Be Doing: </h2> <ul> <li>Own Nanit’s global product safety and regulatory compliance strategy across North America, EMEA, and other markets.</li> <li>Advise executive leadership on regulatory risk, emerging requirements, and market entry considerations.</li> <li>Manage country-specific registrations and documentation requirements for global distribution.</li> <li>Oversee Declarations of Conformity, Technical Files, and compliance documentation retention.</li> <li>Embed regulatory requirements into product development and change management processes.</li> <li>Conduct regulatory risk assessments for new products and product modifications.</li> <li>Review labeling, packaging, user manuals, BOMs, and marketing claims for compliance alignment.</li> <li>Ensure compliance readiness prior to mass production.</li> <li>Support field incident review and product safety investigations in partnership with Legal and Customer Success teams.</li> <li>Develop and maintain recall readiness and corrective action procedures.</li> <li>Monitor customer feedback trends for potential safety or regulatory implications.</li> <li>Support regulatory reporting obligations where required.</li> <li>Build scalable compliance policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.</li> <li>Develop training materials and conduct cross-functional compliance training.</li> <li>Oversee safety, EMC, RF, environmental, and reliability testing programs.</li> <li>Manage relationships with third-party testing labs and certification agencies.</li> <li>Ensure proper traceability, labeling accuracy, and documentation controls.</li> <li>Monitor and interpret evolving regulations and proactively guide internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Lead global certifications and approvals, including but not limited to:</li> <li> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">CE (RED), UKCA</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">FCC, ISED (Canada)</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">UL/ETL safety certifications</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">RoHS, REACH, WEEE</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">CPSIA and applicable children’s product regulations</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">California Prop 65</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bluetooth/Wi-Fi certifications</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2 style="text-align: left;">Who You Are:</h2> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in global product safety, regulatory compliance, or quality engineering.</li> <li>Experience with consumer electronics, connected/IoT devices, or juvenile products strongly preferred.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience managing international certifications and regulatory submissions.</li> <li>Experience working with contract manufacturers and third-party labs.</li> <li>Deep understanding of electrical safety, EMC, RF, and environmental regulations.</li> <li>Familiarity with children’s product safety requirements (CPSIA, ASTM standards preferred).</li> <li>Strong documentation discipline and experience maintaining Technical Files.</li> <li>Ability to assess regulatory risk and provide pragmatic, business-oriented guidance.</li> <li>Strong cross-functional leadership and influence without direct authority.</li> <li>Clear communicator capable of translating complex regulatory standards into actionable guidance.</li> <li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent certifications.</li> <li>Ability to operate independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with NYC-based teams.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, or related field.</li> <li>Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., RAC, CQE) a plus.</li> </ul> Why You’ll Love Working Here: <ul> <li>Hybrid in office schedule </li> <li>Remote work from home month in August </li> <li>Flexible PTO (we trust you to take the time you need)</li> <li>Equity options so you can share in our growth</li> <li>Paid parental leave for all new parents</li> <li>Employee discounts on Nanit products</li> <li>Work from home stipend</li> <li>Monthly team events</li> </ul> EEO, Salary and Location:  This is a remote role with periodic travel to Nanit’s NYC headquarters. Salary Range: $130,000 to $150,000 base salary + plus equity and benefits. The base pay is one component of Nanit's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance.
