<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>
<p>The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing the complete scope of HR related duties in the following functional areas: payroll administration, benefits administration recruiting/onboarding, training, performance management and policy implementation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Administers human resource plans and procedures for all facility personnel across the three Washington plants.</li>
<li>Processes weekly and bi-weekly payroll</li>
<li>Works with supervisors and HR employees across all US operations to process all aspects of payroll including, time card review, special payments, garnishment, bonuses, etc.</li>
<li>Works closely with the Compensation and Benefits Manager to administer benefits information, including open enrollment, changes and communication and enters employees into the benefit management system.</li>
<li>Maintains HRIS and keeps employee files up to date and accurate including new hires and terminations</li>
<li>Works closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to develop staffing strategies and leads the hiring process at the facility</li>
<li>Presents offers of employment and schedules necessary background, physical testing and drug testing.</li>
<li>Conducts new employee onboarding and orientation for the plants</li>
<li>Communicates, explains and manages personnel policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Participates with the HR Director and Plant Management in developing department goals, objectives, and systems for the facility.</li>
<li>Manages FMLA cases.</li>
<li>Manages short and long-term disability as well as Workers Compensation cases.</li>
<li>Handles employee relations and grievances as needed.</li>
<li>Conduct incident investigations</li>
<li>Communicates with WPP HR Director regarding terminations or resignations. Gets counseling and guidance on terminations.</li>
<li>Conducts exit interviews.</li>
<li>Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as designated.</li>
<li>Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as required and assigned</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Recommended Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field</li>
<li>At least 2 years of experience in HR in a manufacturing environment, including union experience</li>
<li>Able to multi-task priorities among the 3 Washington, PA plants</li>
<li>High attention to detail</li>
<li>Communicates effectively with employees and management</li>
<li>Process oriented</li>
<li>Excellent written skills</li>
<li>Results oriented</li>
<li>Strong collaborator</li>
<li>Able to travel approximately 15%</li>
</ul>
