Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.</p></div><p><strong>Senior Manager, Sales Finance – U.S. Government Programs</strong></p> <p>As Astranis’s Senior Manager of Sales Finance for U.S. Government Programs, you will play a critical role in building the financial foundation of our federal sales efforts. You’ll serve as a key business partner to our Government Programs, Business Development, and Contracts teams — ensuring pricing precision, compliance, and scalable forecasting as we grow our U.S. government portfolio.</p> <p>This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who thrives at the intersection of government contracting and business strategy. You’ll lead pricing efforts, model long-term revenue streams, and drive disciplined financial execution across proposals and programs. You’ll also help build the scalable systems and processes needed to support our rapidly expanding federal business.</p> <p>If you’re someone who combines deep government finance expertise with a builder’s mindset — and you’re eager to help scale one of the most strategically important parts of a fast-growing aerospace company — we want to talk.</p> <h4><strong>Role</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Lead financial analysis and deal support for U.S. government proposals, including pricing models, cost volumes, and compliance reviews.</li> <li>Partner with Business Development, Contracts, and Program teams to ensure alignment with FAR, DFARS, and CAS requirements.</li> <li>Develop and maintain revenue forecasts, pipeline analyses, and bookings reports for government sales.</li> <li>Provide insights to leadership on customer economics, contract terms, and financial risk.</li> <li>Build scalable tools, reporting mechanisms, and financial models to support government program growth.</li> <li>Represent Finance in internal reviews, customer audits, and compliance assessments.</li> <li>Mentor junior analysts and help shape the evolution of the Government Sales Finance function.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Requirements</strong></h4> <ul> <li>8+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3–5 years supporting U.S. government contracting or government sales finance.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and U.S. government cost principles.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in proposal pricing, financial modeling, and supporting contract negotiations.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders.</li> <li>Comfort operating in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment where systems and processes are being built.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Bonus</strong></h4> <ul> <li>CPA, CMA, MBA, or CDFM certification.</li> <li>Experience in aerospace, defense, or satellite industries.</li> <li>Familiarity with both firm-fixed-price and cost-plus contract types.</li> <li>ERP (NetSuite or equivalent) experience.</li> <li>Prior experience at a startup or high-growth technology company.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><div><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div> <p data-path-to-node="3">Base pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package. Your compensation also includes a significant equity package via incentive stock options, high-quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance, 401(k) retirement planning, flexible PTO, and free on-site catered meals.</p> </div> <div>Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
