<div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Role: Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Commissioning Engineer</strong></div>
<div class="x_elementToProof">Veritas is seeking a Commissioning Engineer (MEP) to join our field-oriented engineering team. This role is designed for engineers who want to develop deep technical competence, take ownership of their work, and operate independently in active construction and operating environments.</div>
<div class="x_elementToProof">This is an exacting, performance-driven role. Engineers receive direct training and mentorship from senior commissioning engineers but are expected to quickly develop the judgment, confidence, and technical rigor required to represent Veritas independently in the field. Success in this position requires attention to detail, strong technical fundamentals, and the ability to identify and resolve system-level issues under real-world constraints.</div>
<div class="x_elementToProof">You will work on complex projects across commercial real estate, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, and multi-family sectors, gaining exposure to advanced HVAC, electrical, controls, and life-safety systems.</div>

<div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></div>
<div class="x_elementToProof">Commissioning Engineers at Veritas are expected to actively lead and execute commissioning activities, including:</div>
<ul>
<li>Writing and executing <span>pre-functional and functional performance test procedures</span></li>
<li>Managing and coordinating commissioning activities across multiple trades and stakeholders</li>
<li>Conducting <span>field inspections</span>, system walkthroughs, and verification activities</li>
<li>Directing and witnessing <span>unitary and integrated system functional testing</span></li>
<li>Analyzing system performance using trending data, site measurements, and historical operating data</li>
<li>Troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, and control system deficiencies in collaboration with contractors and controls vendors</li>
<li>Reviewing and overseeing <span>Testing & Balancing (TAB)</span> activities and documentation</li>
<li>Maintaining clear, defensible commissioning records and test documentation</li>
<li>Producing <span>comprehensive technical reports</span>, including deficiencies, root cause analysis, and operational recommendations</li>
<li>Leading commissioning meetings with owners, engineers, and contractors</li>
</ul>
<div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong></div>
<div class="x_elementToProof">Commissioning Engineers will work with their team and leaders to support the project activities, including:</div>
<ul>
<li>Supporting the development of <span>Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR)</span> and Basis of Design (BOD) documentation</li>
<li>Performing detailed <span>design and submittal reviews</span> with a focus on constructability, operability, and performance risk</li>
<li>Developing <span>project-specific commissioning plans</span>, schedules, and execution strategies</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Engineers are expected to <span>operate independently in the field</span> once trained</li>
<li>Work is conducted in active construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and occupied buildings</li>
<li>Precision, technical credibility, and professional judgment are required at all times</li>
<li>The role may require <span>early mornings, late evenings, or weekend work</span> to support system testing and critical milestones</li>
<li>This position is best suited for individuals who value accountability, technical depth, and continuous learning</li>
</ul>
<div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Qualifications</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Minimum <span>2+ years of hands-on commissioning experience</span> with MEP systems</li>
<li>Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including IMCC, IFGC, IECC, NEC, NFPA, and ASHRAE</li>
<li>Understanding of HVAC systems, controls sequences, and system interactions</li>
<li>Familiarity with electrical system testing and inspection practices</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities without sacrificing quality</li>
<li>Strong written communication skills, particularly for technical documentation and reporting</li>
<li>Willingness to work outside standard business hours as project demands require</li>
</ul>
<div class="x_elementToProof"><strong>Compensation</strong></div>
<div class="x_elementToProof">Estimated Compensation Range: $79,000 – $87,000 annually, plus benefits</div>
<div class="x_elementToProof">Compensation is commensurate with experience and demonstrated technical capability.</div>
