As a Registered Nurse, you will play an important role in all phases of coordinating resident care management and staff direction that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others!  What you'll do: As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.</li> <li>Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.</li> <li>Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing health care plans; make rounds with physicians and accurately and timely record visits on charts.</li> <li>Assist in maintaining current health care plans according to a schedule rotation and documenting acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.</li> <li>Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring their work; assign aides to residents, specifying break times and special duties to be completed.</li> <li>Supervise (or personally handle) the preparation and administration of prescribed medications accurately.</li> <li>Order all new medications and refills; give initial dose of all new medications and chart it timely and accurately.</li> <li>Direct charting on his/her shift and makes detailed evaluation of all resident charting in accordance with facility policy, regulatory guidelines and resident status.</li> <li>Recognize significant changes in the condition of the resident and takes necessary action as directed by Director of Nursing.</li> <li>Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake; report persistent unresolved problems to the physician and/or the Director of Nursing or appropriate discipline.</li> <li>Professionally communicate with resident families and respond to questions or concerns.</li> <li>Accurately and timely complete focused assessments and appropriate discharge documentation.</li> <li>Intervene in resident disputes or disruptive behavior, if necessary, to maintain proper facility harmony and resident safety.</li> <li>Accurately and timely complete documentation.</li> <li>Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.</li> </ul>  What you’ll bring: To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following: <ul> <li>Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing license.
