We only accept direct applications.</div>Talent Acquisition Specialist Work Environment: Hybrid - Draper, UT (regular in-office presence required)   Build the Workforce Powering Kelso Industries Kelso Building Services, part of Kelso Industries, is looking for hands-on, people-focused, energetic Construction & Skilled Trades Recruiter to help grow our field workforce. You’ll mainly support hiring for construction-related trades such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP+), and you may occasionally assist with basic professional or technical roles when needed. These recruiters play an important role in helping our operating companies find reliable, skilled workers who keep projects moving. This role is hybrid, with a strong preference for candidates who can work from our Draper, UT office. <h2 style="line-height: 1;"> </h2> <h2 style="line-height: 1;">What You'll Do:</h2> <div style="line-height: 1;"> <h2>Recruiting & Sourcing</h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Post and maintain job openings across job boards and sourcing platforms</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (calls, texts, emails) to engage trades candidates</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Source talent through local job boards, referrals, community events, trade networks, etc.</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Review applications and reach out to qualified candidates</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build and maintain simple talent lists or pipelines for roles we hire frequently</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Adjust sourcing and outreach methods based on what works best in each local area</li> </ul> <h2>Hiring Partnership & Employer Brand Activation</h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Partner closely with with hiring managers about open roles and candidate progress</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Clarify job requirements and understand what type of candidate is needed</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist in writing or updating job postings so they’re clear and appealing</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Represent Kelso at career fairs, job events, and community outreach activities</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Promote Kelso’s brand and values when speaking with candidates and community partners</li> </ul> <h2>Process, Metrics & Candidate Experience</h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Provide a friendly, organized experience for every candidate</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Schedule interviews, send reminders, and keep candidates informed</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Keep all information accurate and up to date in Greenhouse (our ATS)</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Track basic recruiting data like number of applicants and effective sourcing channels</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Suggest small improvements to help make the hiring process smoother and faster</li> </ul> <h2>Hiring Execution & Support</h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment steps</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Help prepare and send job offers</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Manage multiple open roles while staying organized and timely</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Step in to support professional or office roles when needed</li> </ul> <hr> <h1>Required Qualifications:</h1> <ul> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred not required</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">2+ years of recruiting experience supporting construction, skilled trades, industrial, manufacturing, or field-based roles (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, installation, maintenance, etc.)</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Comfort speaking directly with hourly, non-corporate candidates</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;"> <div>Willingness to pick up the phone, follow up consistently, and close candidates in competitive labor markets</div> </li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience using an ATS or similar system (Greenhouse preferred)</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong communication and partnership skills</li> <li style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;
