With operations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago, the company serves as a vital partner for the most innovative companies in the Americas.</p></div><p>&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Director of IT</strong></h2> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Schaumburg, IL (Onsite)</p> <p>We are seeking a <strong>Director of IT</strong> to lead technology operations for our newly combined organization. This is a <strong>hands-on leadership role</strong> with two complementary mandates:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Complete a time-bound integration effort over the next <strong>8–12 months</strong>, and</p> </li> <li> <p>Build and run the IT function that will support the business long-term.</p> </li> </ol> <p>You will lead a <strong>globally distributed team of ~14 IT professionals</strong> across the U.S., India, China, and Mexico, and serve as the primary point of accountability for how effectively technology supports the organization day to day.</p> <p>This role requires someone who can <strong>operate at both a technical and leadership level</strong>—capable of configuring systems, troubleshooting issues, and making architectural decisions, while also building a scalable, high-performing IT organization.</p> <hr> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <h3><strong>IT Operations &amp; Service Delivery</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Own day-to-day technology operations, ensuring business-critical systems are <strong>available, performant, and well-supported</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Establish and maintain <strong>service-level expectations</strong> and support workflows</p> </li> <li> <p>Build a <strong>unified IT support model</strong> across both legacy organizations</p> </li> <li> <p>Proactively monitor system health and resolve issues before they impact users</p> </li> <li> <p>Define and manage <strong>incident response processes</strong>, including severity levels, escalation paths, and communication protocols</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Integration Leadership (8–12 Months)</strong></h3> <p>You will take ownership of the remaining integration work, including:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Identity consolidation into <strong>Microsoft Entra ID</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Migration from <strong>Google Workspace to Microsoft 365</strong></p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Okta decommissioning</strong> and application refederation</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>CrowdStrike Falcon</strong> deployment across all endpoints</p> </li> <li> <p>Implementation of a <strong>next-generation SIEM platform</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Domain consolidation and rebranding support</p> </li> </ul> <p>You will be accountable for <strong>timeline, execution quality, and business continuity</strong> throughout this process.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>Identity &amp; Access Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Own and operate the <strong>Entra ID environment</strong>, including conditional access, MFA, administrative units, and dynamic groups</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain SSO and SCIM provisioning across SaaS platforms</p> </li> <li> <p>Lead migration of applications from Okta to Entra ID</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct access reviews and enforce <strong>least-privilege principles</strong></p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Endpoint &amp; Device Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Manage <strong>Microsoft Intune</strong> across macOS, iOS, and Windows devices</p> </li> <li> <p>Own device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain <strong>Apple Business Manager</strong> integration and lifecycle management</p> </li> <li> <p>Standardize device configurations across the combined environment</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Security Operations</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Own <strong>CrowdStrike Falcon</strong>, including prevention policies, host groups, workflows, and incident response</p> </li> <li> <p>Operate and mature a <strong>next-generation SIEM</strong>, including:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Data ingestion and connector configuration</p> </li> <li> <p>Detection rule development and tuning</p> </li> <li> <p>Threat hunting and reporting workflows</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Oversee integration between endpoint telemetry and SIEM</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage incident response processes and third-party SOC relationships</p> </li> <li> <p>Help define the long-term <strong>security operations strategy</strong></p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Collaboration &amp; Productivity Platforms</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Administer <strong>Slack Enterprise Grid</strong>, including workspace structure, integrations, and retention policies</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage <strong>Teams and/or Zoom</strong> for internal and external collaboration</p> </li> <li> <p>Administer the <strong>Microsoft 365 environment</strong> (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive)</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain limited Google Workspace environments where required</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Team Leadership</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and develop a <strong>global IT team</strong>, establishing unified processes and operating rhythms</p> </li> <li> <p>Build a collaborative culture across both legacy organizations</p> </li> <li> <p>Identify skill gaps and hiring needs as the environment stabilizes</p> </li> <li> <p>Mentor team members and develop future leaders</p> </li> <li> <p>Foster a <strong>service-oriented mindset</strong> focused on responsiveness and follow-through</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Vendor &amp; Budget Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>Own vendor relationships across Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Slack, SIEM providers, and others</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage and optimize the <strong>IT budget</strong>, including license rationalization and cost control</p> </li> <li> <p>Lead contract negotiations and renewals</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide visibility into IT spend and cost drivers</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Required Technical Expertise</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p><strong>CrowdStrike Falcon</strong> (EDR, prevention policies, workflows, telemetry)</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Next-generation SIEM platforms</strong> (Splunk, Chronicle, LogScale, Elastic, or similar)</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD</strong> (SSO, MFA, federation, SCIM)</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Microsoft Intune</strong> (macOS, iOS, Windows device management)</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Microsoft 365</strong> (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Slack Enterprise Grid</strong> administration</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong understanding of <strong>DNS (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)</strong> and SaaS environments</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Experience</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <p>10+ years in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems engineering</p> </li> <li> <p>5+ years leading IT teams</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience supporting <strong>200+ users across multiple locations</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Proven experience with <strong>M&amp;A, integration, or environment consolidation</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Track record of balancing <strong>hands-on work with leadership responsibilities</strong></p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Leadership Traits</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p>Service-first mindset with a focus on enabling business productivity</p> </li> <li> <p>Hands-on approach to both technical and operational challenges</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive progress</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders</p> </li> <li> <p>Willingness to engage in both strategic and day-to-day work</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Compensation</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p>Salary Range: <strong>$190,000 – $230,000 per year</strong>, depending on experience</p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Additional Information</strong></h2> <ul> <li> <p>Location: Onsite in Schaumburg, IL</p> </li> <li> <p>Travel: Up to 10% globally</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)</strong></p> </li> </ul> <hr> <h2><strong>Why This Role</strong></h2> <p>This position plays a central role in completing a critical integration and establishing a <strong>long-term IT function that supports the organization at scale</strong>.
