You’ll foster an environment of ownership and continuous learning, coaching Scrum teams in Agile excellence to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery. By bridging the gap between business goals and technical execution, you will define a clear technical vision, manage complex integrations, and partner with Architects to modernize the roadmap while reducing tech debt. Ultimately, you take full accountability for engineering deliverables, ensuring they are scalable, on schedule, and held to the highest standards of quality and excellence. <h3>What You’ll Be Doing</h3> <ul> <li>Build and take ownership of the Salesforce engineering team and drive excellence.</li> <li>Brainstorm ideas of how to improve training, process, hiring, etc</li> <li>Participate in your team’s coaching, personal development, performance management, and career growth. </li> <li>Set clear expectations and goals for team members and create opportunities for team members to showcase their work </li> <li>Facilitate team-building activities </li> <li>Build an in-depth understanding of the code owned by the team. </li> <li>Encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration </li> <li>Identify and address recurring issues in development cycles and improve speed of development. </li> <li>Ensure code quality and best practices </li> <li>Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders in understanding the requirements and translating them into technical designs. </li> <li>Provide high-level technical recommendations, approaches, and feedback. </li> <li>Create and maintain project timelines </li> <li>Identify dependencies between different systems and facilitate communication between cross-functional teams. </li> <li>Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many multi-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers. </li> <li>Conduct risk assessments throughout the project’s lifecycle and provide updates to the stakeholder’s progress of each project you manage. </li> <li>Resolve cross-team coordination issues that may impact progress. </li> <li>Manage expectations and negotiate scope changes. </li> <li>Facilitate decision-making processes when trade-offs are necessary </li> <li>Ensure smooth handoff between development, QA, and plan for the software releases. </li> <li>Identify repetitive tasks that can be automated </li> <li>Encourage the development of internal tools to boost productivity </li> <li>Allocate time for refactoring and system improvements </li> <li>Encourage experimentation with new tools or methodologies</li> </ul> <h3>Desired Traits</h3> <ul> <li>12+ years of overall experience in engineering </li> <li>7+ years of hands-on experience working in Salesforce </li> <li>Proven experience in developing Salesforce solutions with a deep understanding of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs. </li> <li>Have worked in Salesforce CPQ, Sales, Manufacturing, Service, Data Cloud. </li> <li>Experienced in designing and implementing custom solutions that align with business needs. </li> <li>Strong knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, reporting, and database design. </li> <li>Has played the role of an Architect </li> <li>Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and external applications. </li> <li>3+ years of leading software engineering teams in an agile environment </li> <li>Experience in hiring, mentoring, and leading engineers </li> <li>Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required;
