<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Senior FP&A Analyst</strong> is a high-impact, highly visible role within a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment. You will be a critical contributor to Cobalt’s financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes — supporting a platform that is scaling rapidly through acquisition.</p>
<p>This individual thrives in structured, team-oriented environments, brings a strong accounting foundation to their FP&A work, and is energized by the pace of a growth-oriented PE-backed platform. You will own your deliverables completely; you must be able to communicate with confidence, and bring a proactive, no-stone-left-unturned mindset to everything you produce.<br><br></p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Financial Planning & Forecasting:</strong> Support the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning across multiple business units.</li>
<li><strong>Variance Analysis & Reporting:</strong> Analyze monthly actuals vs. budget and forecast, identify key variances, and deliver meaningful, decision-ready commentary to senior stakeholders.</li>
<li><strong>OneStream Administration:</strong> Maintain and administer OneStream, managing data inputs across multiple business units and building reports used in monthly financial reporting and planning processes.</li>
<li><strong>Financial Modeling & Dashboards:</strong> Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards that provide real-time, actionable insights into business performance.</li>
<li><strong>Data Integrity:</strong> Ensure accuracy across all reporting and analytics efforts, applying a rigorous check-and-balance process to every deliverable before it reaches leadership.</li>
<li><strong>Executive & Sponsor Reporting:</strong> Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and private equity sponsors, as well as quarterly financial reports for lenders.</li>
<li><strong>AI & Technology Adoption:</strong> Champion the adoption of AI tools and Microsoft Copilot to streamline financial workflows, automate reporting tasks, and introduce best-in-class operational practices across the team.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><br>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role; a career progression from accounting into FP&A is strongly preferred.</li>
<li><strong>OneStream experience is required</strong>; demonstrated ability to manage data inputs, build reports, and support cross-functional planning processes within the platform.</li>
<li>Background in a late-stage, PE-backed company environment; experience supporting scaled operations and reporting to institutional investors is a strong plus.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.</li>
<li>Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Sage or Power BI is a plus.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to implement or support technology-driven process improvements, including AI-driven workflow automation.</li>
<li>Exceptional attention to detail with a proven, repeatable check-and-balance process for financial outputs.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present financial insights with clarity and confidence.</li>
