This role will support the corporate office with continuous process improvements and regular close procedures within NetSuite. You will be critical in scaling the accounting function, implementing internal controls, and supporting system integration. This role will require someone who wants to dig in, design the processes, and own entries and processes within the general ledger. We are looking for a reliable problem solver, someone who can demonstrate the ability to identify issues, develop scalable solutions, and operate with a high level of autonomy. RESPONSIBILITIES <div class="p-pdf_iframe__page" data-page-number="1"> <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis • Prepare accruals for accurate financial reporting • Manage overhead and fringe benefit allocations • Assist with fixed asset capitalization entries and maintain the fixed asset register • Prepare and manage prepaid expense entries • Support the implementation of accounting policies and best practices • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the close process, implementing new procedures to improve efficiency and reduce the close cycle time • Support the preparation of Financial Statements • Support accounting in accordance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) for CAS-covered contracts • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes and systems • Support the annual audit</div> <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">• Serve as a liaison between the accounting team and other departments to provide guidance and insights on financial matters</div> <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">• Other tasks as assigned</div> </div> QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of experience • CPA a plus • Strong knowledge of GAAP • Experience with government contract accounting, FAR accounting standards, and DCAA compliance is a plus • Previous Aerospace and Defense experience a plus • Analytical with exceptional problem-solving skills, high degree of ownership, and a strong attention to detail.
