Follow Mineralys on&nbsp;LinkedIn,&nbsp;Twitter&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bluesky”</p> <p>Mineralys is a fully remote company.</p> <p><strong>Manager, Commercial Accounting</strong></p> <p>The Manager, Commercial Accounting will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities related to product revenue, gross-to-net reserves, accounts receivable, inventory and cost of goods sold, and other commercial related accounting processes. The role will partner closely with Trade &amp; Distribution, Market Access, CMC, and third-party partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and support commercialization efforts.&nbsp; The Manager will also be responsible for identifying and driving process improvement.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Revenue Accounting &amp; Month-End Close</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage the monthly close process related to product revenue, gross-to-net reserves, accounts receivable, and related commercial accounting activities.</li> <li>Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for revenue-related accounts.</li> <li>Ensure revenue recognition is recorded in accordance with ASC 606.</li> <li>Maintain accurate documentation supporting revenue accounting conclusions and estimates.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Inventory &amp; Cost Accounting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage monthly close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold.</li> <li>Oversee inventory accounting activities, including inventory valuation, inventory reserves, inventory reconciliations, and related accounting analyses.</li> <li>Review inventory reports and activity received from third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions.</li> <li>Monitor inventory movements, adjustments, write-offs, product returns, and related reserve calculations.</li> <li>Partner with Trade and Distribution, CMC, and external partners to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.</li> <li>Support physical inventory count procedures and related reconciliations performed by third-party providers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Gross-to-Net Accounting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare and maintain gross-to-net reserve calculations, including rebates, chargebacks, returns, prompt pay discounts, distribution service fees, copay assistance programs, and other commercial deductions.</li> <li>Collaborate with Market Access, Government Pricing, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate reserve methodologies and assumptions.</li> <li>Perform periodic actual-to-estimate analyses and recommend adjustments to reserve methodologies as needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Accounts Receivable &amp; Order-to-Cash</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary accounting liaison with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), distributors, and other commercial partners, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing and reporting.</li> <li>Oversee third-party managed order-to-cash activities, including product sales, invoicing, collections, cash applications, deductions, and dispute resolution.</li> <li>Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts receivable balances, including oversight of information received from 3PLs and commercial partners.</li> <li>Review customer balances, aging reports, collection activities, and related reporting provided by commercial partners and third-party service providers.</li> <li>Support the evaluation of customer credit risk, credit limits, and related mitigation strategies in coordination with commercial and finance leadership.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Commercial and Launch Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with Market Access, CMC and Trade &amp; Distribution teams to support commercialization initiatives and product launches.</li> <li>Assist in the design and implementation of processes and controls supporting new distribution channels, customer programs, and launch activities.</li> <li>Support contract reviews and assess accounting implications of commercial arrangements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial Reporting &amp; Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare schedules and analyses supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.</li> <li>Assist with external audits and regulatory reporting requirements.</li> <li>Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and accounting documentation related to revenue accounting.</li> <li>Support SOX compliance efforts, including control execution, documentation, and remediation activities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Process Improvement &amp; Systems</strong></p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, reporting, and data analytics across the revenue accounting cycle.</li> <li>Participate in ERP implementation, system enhancements, and integration projects.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Leadership &amp; People Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>manage, mentor, and develop team member while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.</li> <li>8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in supporting commercial accounting activities in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.</li> <li>Strong understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, gross-to-net, inventory and cost of goods sold accounting</li> <li>Strong understanding of pharmaceutical order-to-cash processes and related accounting activities, including accounts receivable, deductions, customer reconciliations.</li> <li>Experience supporting inventory accounting in a commercial-stage biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences company.</li> <li>Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), wholesalers, and other commercial service providers.</li> <li>Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.</li> <li>Experience with NetSuite or other large ERP systems.</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred</strong></p> <ul> <li>Public accounting experience and/or publicly traded company experience</li> <li>Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal controls.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li> <li>Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.</li> <li>Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li> <li>Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on scalability, automation, and operational excellence.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Travel</strong></p> <p>This position requires up to 10% travel.
