This position works closely with,<span> and provides backup support for, </span>the Manager of the Inpatient/Residential program and reports <span>to</span> <span>the</span> <span>Pathways</span> <span>Clinical</span> <span>Director.<span> </span>Luminis Behavioral Health provides multiple levels of care; every staff member has a role in our patients’ success and staff may be asked to work in other areas of admission or treatment as needed.</span></span></p><p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in 0in 6.0pt 0in"> </p><h2 style="margin: 0in 0in 6.0pt 11.95pt"><span style="color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;">Essential Job <span>Duties:</span></span></h2><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 11.4pt 6.0pt 12.55pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>1.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span>Responsible for clinical supervision of Outpatient counseling staff, reviewing all clinical documentation to meet Joint Commission, COMAR, and Pathways' regulations, requirements, and guidelines, supporting staff in managing caseloads, tracking client progress, and assisting staff in responding to each patient on an <span>individualized basis.</span></span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 20.55pt 6.0pt 12.55pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span>Maintains working knowledge of current outpatient counseling census and attendance, and assigns new cases as applicable. Manages or provides backup direct services when staff are absent.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 17.05pt 6.0pt 12.55pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>3.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span>Assists in the development of staff knowledge and skills by identifying learning opportunities and determining counselor strengths to maintain clinical competence and professional growth. Serves as teacher, trainer, and professional role model by providing alternative case conceptualizations, oversight of counselor work to achieve mutually agreed upon goals, and professional gatekeeping <span>of staff and services for the organization</span></span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 20.55pt 6.0pt 11.95pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>4.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span>Conducts ongoing assessment of Pathways' outpatient service delivery to ensure alignment with current evidence• based practices and measurement-based care. Develop training protocols for staff education to facilitate new programming implementation.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 30.1pt 6.0pt 12.55pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>5.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span>Works closely with the Clinical Director to identify strategic goals for expansion of clinical services and implements action plans towards these goals including program adjustments based on outpatient census <span>trends.</span></span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 65.35pt 6.0pt 12.55pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>6.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span>Provides leadership oversight through weekly team meetings and weekly chart audits to ensure Pathways Outpatient staff compliance with Joint Commission, COMAR, and organizational standards.<span> </span>Coaches and mentors staff to strengthen clinical documentation, quality, and professional note-writing competencies.</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 11.45pt 6.0pt 12.55pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>7.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span>Conducts yearly performance reviews for direct reports. Meets with staff to develop action plans in response to identified areas needing improvement. Acts as a liaison to Human Resources in case of necessary disciplinary <span>actions.</span></span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 108%; margin: 0in 3.0pt 6.0pt 11.95pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span style="line-height: 108%"><span>8.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><span style="line-height: 108%">Collaborates closely with the Inpatient/Residential manager to ensure quality transitions between inpatient and outpatient levels of care.</span></span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 108%; margin: 0in 5.65pt 6.0pt 11.95pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span style="line-height: 108%"><span>9.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><span style="line-height: 108%">Attends multidisciplinary clinical staff meetings and participates in in-service trainings. Serves as a member of select committees as necessary and prepares documented material in accordance with relevant guidelines in Continuous Quality Improvement reviews.</span></span></p><p class="MsoListParagraph" style="line-height: 108%; margin: 0in 8.6pt 6.0pt 11.95pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span style="line-height: 108%"><span>10.<span style="font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><span style="line-height: 108%">Engages in ongoing personal development to increase competencies and leadership training. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops and training, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional <span>societies.</span></span></span></p></div><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span>Required</span> <span>Experience:</span> <span>Three</span> <span>years</span> <span>of</span> <span>professional</span> <span>experience</span> <span>in</span> <span>substance</span> <span>use</span> <span>disorder</span> <span>treatment</span> <span>to </span><span>include</span> <span>assessment,</span> <span>case</span> <span>management,</span> <span>group,</span> <span>family,</span> <span>or</span> <span>individual</span> <span>counseling.</span></span></p><p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt"><span style="font-size: 12pt;
