We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Employee Relations Specialist to lead and manage employee relations for our hub in Romania. In this key role, you'll ensure that employee matters are handled with fairness, legal compliance, consistency, and compassion, all while aligning with our values and business objectives.  As the primary Employee Relations expert for Romania, you'll collaborate closely with Talent Management and the Talent & Culture teams to navigate complex employee situations, guide leadership through sensitive decisions, and maintain compliance with Romanian labor laws and employment regulations.  This is the perfect opportunity for someone who can bring calm and clarity to critical situations while thriving in a fast-paced, global tech environment that's constantly evolving.    Key Responsibilities:  Employee Relations Leadership  <ul> <li> Act as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters in Romania, handling cases with professionalism and confidentiality.</li> <li> Manage a wide range of employee relations issues, including performance and disciplinary actions, grievances, misconduct, and terminations, ensuring fairness and respect for all involved.</li> <li> Lead and facilitate complex investigations, ensuring outcomes are legally compliant and reflect our organizational values. </li> <li>Provide expert guidance during organizational change, supporting transparent and legally compliant processes. </li> </ul> Labor Law Expertise & Compliance  <ul> <li> Serve as the go-to expert on Romanian labor law, offering business-focused advice to HR and leadership teams.</li> <li> Ensure that employee relations practices are compliant with local labor laws and consistently applied across the organization.</li> <li> Collaborate with legal counsel on high-risk or complex cases, ensuring best practices are followed.</li> </ul> Collaboration & Partnership  <ul> <li> Partner with HR Business Partners to help leaders address employee relations matters effectively.</li> <li> Work closely with the Talent & Culture team to integrate employee relations practices with performance management frameworks, policies, and employee experience initiatives.</li> <li> Contribute to ER training programs, helping managers navigate difficult conversations and handle performance management and disciplinary processes.</li> </ul> Documentation & Reporting  <ul> <li> Keep accurate and confidential records of all employee relations cases. </li> <li>Provide valuable insights and trend reports to People leadership, helping drive informed decision-making. </li> <li> Support audits and internal reviews related to employment practices.</li> </ul> Requirements:  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, ora related field. </li> <li> At least 5 years of experience in Employee Relations or a similar HR role, preferably within a tech or multinational company.</li> <li> In-depth knowledge of Romanian labor law and employment regulations, with practical experience in handling complex situations.</li> <li> Proven experience in managing investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations (both voluntary and involuntary).</li> <li> Experience supporting organizations through change (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, restructurings) is a plus.</li> <li> High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, anda strong sense of discretion. </li> </ul> <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="4" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Fluency in English (written and spoken). </li> </ul>     #LI-AA1<div class="content-conclusion">We are aware that an individual(s) are fraudulently representing themselves as Suvoda recruiters and/or hiring managers.
