About the Role

<p><strong>Who are We?</strong></p> <p>Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools, serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. At Brooke, we coach and invest in our teachers so that they can help our students achieve at the highest levels and graduate from college. In a culture of achievement, educators support students in recognizing and building on their identities as sources of strength even as they work to grow and achieve in new ways.</p> <p><strong>The BCBA Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>This is a part-time role&nbsp;</li> <li>Conducts behavioral assessments (e.g., FBAs) as needed to identify the function of challenging behaviors.</li> <li>Develops behavior intervention plans (BIPs). Collects and reviews treatment fidelity data to ensure consistent application of interventions.&nbsp;</li> <li>May attend IEP meetings&nbsp;</li> <li>Conducts observations of students and consults with student support staff</li> <li>Performs other related duties as requested by the Chief of Student Support or Director of Special Programs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation for this role is $100/per hour</strong></p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BCBA Certification</li> <li>Experience working with students who have social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in a public school setting</li> <li><span class="im">A shared dedication to the Brooke Charter School philosophy and mission</span></li> <li><span class="im">A commitment to ensuring academic success for all students</span></li> <li><span class="im">Ability to efficiently write comprehensive and informative FBA and BIPs that contain appropriate goals</span></li> <li><span class="im">Excellent skills in the areas of teamwork, oral and written communication, and organization</span></li> </ul> <p><em>The community and students we serve are diverse, and we are committed to reflecting that diversity in our staff.
