<p>The Director of Marketing leads enterprise-wide executional marketing strategy for a diversified chemical manufacturer serving multiple end markets (e.g., food & beverage, water treatment, agriculture, industry, and specialty chemicals). This role is responsible for building market-facing clarity across platforms, driving demand and commercial enablement, and strengthening brand credibility in highly technical and regulated environments.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>Primary responsibilities include:</strong></em></span></p>
<p><strong>Digital & Marketing Operations</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own production and execution of all marketing communications across platforms, including:</li>
<ul>
<li>Websites and landing pages</li>
<li>Brochures, flyers, and application sheets</li>
<li>Case studies, white papers, and technical summaries</li>
</ul>
<li>Trade show planning, materials, signage, and presentations</li>
<li>Lead initiatives to improve lead generation, conversion rates, and customer acquisition efficiency across all marketing channels.</li>
<li>Ensure consistent brand, tone, and messaging across all markets and channels.</li>
<li>Use data-driven insights to influence brand positioning, messaging, and campaign strategies.</li>
<li>Leverage automation, CRM, and analytics tools to drive efficiencies.</li>
<li>Manage marketing budgets, direct reports, and vendor relationships.</li>
<li>Assess performance metrics and adjust strategies to ensure ROI and sustainable growth outcomes.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Market and Customer Insight</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Understands industry and competitive trends and identifies and targets marketing of specific new or underserved markets.</li>
<li>Partner with Strategy and Commercial teams to monitor industry trends, customer feedback/buyer journeys, competitive dynamics and competitor positioning to inform decision-making.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Strategic Marketing in enhancing VOC (Voice of Customer), NPS, and other data or feedback mechanisms to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.</li>
<li>Partner with HR on employment branding efforts, ensuring consistent messaging across recruiting, onboarding, and external talent‑facing channels that supports attraction, engagement, and retention of top talent</li>
<li>Champion a customer-centric culture across the organization by sharing insights and fostering alignment around customer needs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Sales Enablement & Commercial Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and maintain sales tools to support Commercial teams:</li>
<ul>
<li>Sales decks, segment playbooks, and product one‑pagers</li>
<li>Customer-facing presentations and templates</li>
</ul>
<li>Partner with sales leadership to support key account initiatives and launches.</li>
<li>Act as the primary marketing point of contact for day‑to‑day sales requests.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Marketing Team Management & Development </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and grow marketing talent through thoughtful allocation of work, stretch assignments, and cross‑functional exposure, ensuring team members gain the skills, visibility, and experience needed to advance their careers.</li>
<li>Lead, manage, and mentor the direct reports by aligning individual strengths and development goals with business priorities, providing opportunities for increased responsibility, leadership exposure, and impact.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>REPORTING STRUCTURE</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>This position reports to the VP of Strategy</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.</li>
<li>8–12+ years of progressive business-to-business marketing experience, including people leadership.</li>
<li>Experience supporting technical, industrial, or chemical products.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success creating practical, sales‑ready marketing materials.</li>
<li>Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Comfortable working cross‑functionally with sales, HR and technical teams.</li>
<li>Experience in multi-platform or multi‑end‑market organizations.</li>
<li>Familiarity with regulated environments (EPA, FDA, USDA, OSHA).</li>
<li>Background in water treatment, food & beverage, agriculture, or industrial chemicals.</li>
</ul>
