About the Role

<p>&nbsp;</p> <h2 data-start="199" data-end="216">About the Role</h2> <p data-start="218" data-end="768">As a <strong data-start="223" data-end="240">Test Engineer</strong> at Rocket EMS, you play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and compliance of <strong data-start="341" data-end="377">Class 3 aerospace PCB assemblies</strong>, where failure is not an option. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and supporting in-circuit, functional, and system-level test strategies that verify assemblies meet stringent customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. This role demands deep attention to detail, disciplined execution, and a strong understanding of aerospace-grade electronics manufacturing.</p> <p data-start="770" data-end="979">You will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to support both NPI and high-reliability production builds, ensuring test coverage, traceability, and repeatability across all programs.</p> <hr data-start="981" data-end="984"> <h2 data-start="986" data-end="1009">Key Responsibilities</h2> <ul data-start="1011" data-end="2391"> <li data-start="1011" data-end="1163"> <p data-start="1013" data-end="1163">Review and interpret travelers, MPIs, ECOs, drawings, and customer specifications with a strong focus on <strong data-start="1118" data-end="1162">IPC-A-610 Class 3 aerospace requirements</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="1164" data-end="1287"> <p data-start="1166" data-end="1287">Develop, execute, and support ICT, functional, boundary scan, and system-level test processes for complex PCB assemblies.</p> </li> <li data-start="1288" data-end="1451"> <p data-start="1290" data-end="1451">Perform electrical, functional, and performance verification to ensure assemblies meet all <strong data-start="1381" data-end="1450">Class 3 aerospace quality, reliability, and workmanship standards</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="1452" data-end="1596"> <p data-start="1454" data-end="1596">Analyze test failures, isolate root causes, and collaborate with Engineering and Rework teams to drive effective debug and corrective actions.</p> </li> <li data-start="1597" data-end="1745"> <p data-start="1599" data-end="1745">Ensure all test equipment, fixtures, and programs are properly validated, calibrated, and controlled per aerospace and internal quality standards.</p> </li> <li data-start="1746" data-end="1881"> <p data-start="1748" data-end="1881">Accurately document test results, failures, deviations, and corrective actions to maintain full <strong data-start="1844" data-end="1880">traceability and audit readiness</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="1882" data-end="2002"> <p data-start="1884" data-end="2002">Enforce strict adherence to ESD, MSD, safety, and handling protocols required for high-reliability aerospace hardware.</p> </li> <li data-start="2003" data-end="2143"> <p data-start="2005" data-end="2143">Support NPIs, engineering builds, and first-article validations by providing test feedback, coverage assessments, and risk identification.</p> </li> <li data-start="2144" data-end="2275"> <p data-start="2146" data-end="2275">Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on test yield, coverage, throughput, and long-term product reliability.</p> </li> <li data-start="2276" data-end="2391"> <p data-start="2278" data-end="2391">Provide clear daily pass-downs and technical communication to leads, supervisors, quality, and engineering teams.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2393" data-end="2396"> <h2 data-start="2398" data-end="2415">Qualifications</h2> <h3 data-start="2417" data-end="2430">Education</h3> <ul data-start="2431" data-end="2593"> <li data-start="2431" data-end="2478"> <p data-start="2433" data-end="2478">High school diploma or equivalent (required).</p> </li> <li data-start="2479" data-end="2593"> <p data-start="2481" data-end="2593">Technical degree or coursework in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred).</p> </li> </ul> <h3 data-start="2595" data-end="2609">Experience</h3> <ul data-start="2610" data-end="2938"> <li data-start="2610" data-end="2746"> <p data-start="2612" data-end="2746">1–3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing test, preferably in <strong data-start="2685" data-end="2745">aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="2747" data-end="2835"> <p data-start="2749" data-end="2835">Hands-on experience with ICT, functional test, boundary scan, or system-level testing.</p> </li> <li data-start="2836" data-end="2938"> <p data-start="2838" data-end="2938">Experience supporting Class 3 assemblies or regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred.</p> </li> </ul> <h3 data-start="2940" data-end="2950">Skills</h3> <ul data-start="2951" data-end="3534"> <li data-start="2951" data-end="3022"> <p data-start="2953" data-end="3022">Solid understanding of electronics theory and complex PCB assemblies.</p> </li> <li data-start="3023" data-end="3105"> <p data-start="3025" data-end="3105">Working knowledge of <strong data-start="3046" data-end="3067">IPC-A-610 Class 3</strong> workmanship and quality expectations.</p> </li> <li data-start="3106" data-end="3202"> <p data-start="3108" data-end="3202">Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other diagnostic instruments.</p> </li> <li data-start="3203" data-end="3294"> <p data-start="3205" data-end="3294">Ability to read and interpret schematics, test procedures, and engineering documentation.</p> </li> <li data-start="3295" data-end="3353"> <p data-start="3297" data-end="3353">Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.</p> </li> <li data-start="3354" data-end="3438"> <p data-start="3356" data-end="3438">Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data analysis and reporting.</p> </li> <li data-start="3439" data-end="3534"> <p data-start="3441" data-end="3534">Effective communicator able to collaborate across Test, Engineering, Quality, and
