Every year, more than 10,000 companies across 60 countries apply to get Great Place to Work Certified.</span></span></p></div><p>The&nbsp;<em>Development Manager</em> will manage development of <strong>rooftop</strong> community solar and small utility-scale solar energy projects throughout the United States<strong><em>.</em></strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities </strong><strong>⚙️</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage relationships with landowners, community stakeholders and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals</li> <li>Manage third-party consultants, attorneys, and vendors involved in the permitting and land acquisition processes</li> <li>Oversee all permitting processes for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations</li> <li>Coordinate with legal, environmental, and technical teams to ensure that all necessary studies, surveys, and documentation are completed to support permitting and land acquisition efforts</li> <li>Monitor and manage timelines and budgets for permitting and environmental studies to meet project deadlines</li> <li>Engage with local governments, public officials, and community groups to address concerns, communicate project benefits, and ensure community buy-in</li> <li>Stay up to date on regulatory and policy changes that impact land acquisition and permitting for renewable energy projects</li> <li>Overcome site and regulatory challenges at complex sites in order to ensure project success</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements&nbsp; </strong><strong>🎓</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field; A Master’s degree is a plus</li> <li>4+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on permitting, land acquisition, and regulatory compliance</li> <li>Strong project management skills with the ability to manage the development of multiple projects concurrently</li> <li>Working knowledge of land use regulations, environmental permitting processes, and zoning laws</li> <li>Working knowledge of solar and BESS equipment and project construction processes</li> <li>Proven experience negotiating contracts including land options, easements, and development service agreements</li> <li>Experience with brownfield and landfill solar development is a plus</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with landowners, government officials, and community stakeholders.</li> <li>Familiarity with environmental regulations, including NEPA, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and other relevant laws</li> <li>Ability to travel as required for site visits, landowner meetings, and engagement with regulatory agencies</li> </ul> <p><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}"><em><span class="TextRun SCXW139200203 BCX0" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW139200203 BCX0">The annual base salary for this position is $120,000 – $135,000.
