Operating from state-of-the-art labs in South San Francisco, our team of experienced scientists and drug developers is leading scientific breakthroughs while cultivating a vibrant, dynamic culture committed to profoundly impacting patient lives.</p> <p><strong>Job description</strong></p> <p>Addition Therapeutics is seeking a researcher with experience in T cell engineering and gene editing, either in industry or an academic setting. This individual would have experience in both primary lymphocyte/PBMC culture and assays required to characterize edited T cells.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:</p> <ul> <li>Execution of experiments involving lymphocyte engineering, gene editing, immunology, synthetic biology, molecular biology, and cell biology.</li> <li>Collaborating on team projects.</li> <li>Communicating, documenting, and presenting work.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or related fields with 3+ years experience engineering T cells in industry or academia.</li> <li>Experience in primary human T cell and PBMC culture and engineering.</li> <li>T cell functional assays (e.g. cytotoxicity, exhaustion, activation)</li> <li>Experience in multi-color flow cytometry, DNA and RNA readout methods (ddPCR, RT-PCR, etc), and culture of cell lines.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <em>in vivo</em> models of CAR T cell efficacy and safety studies</li> <li>Organized, motivated, and disciplined when it comes to hands-on work in the lab</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Thrives in a fast-moving, results-oriented startup environment</li> <li>Flexible, cooperative, can-do attitude</li> </ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Experience in non-viral gene delivery</li> <li>RNA delivery and expression of transgenes</li> <li>Experience in RNA synthesis and purification by in vitro transcription</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <p>The expected hourly rate for this position is $55.00-$60.00 / hour.
