This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.</em></p> <p><strong><em>This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.</em></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Role Description</strong></p> <p>The OSP Construction Program Manager will work on cross-product and cross-team initiatives, working closely with a cross-functional team to plan, execute, and deliver projects, as well as deploy new technologies to local markets and surrounding communities. The PGM Project Manager manages the day-to-day operations, milestone tracking, and completion of projects related to the construction of our OSP FTTH network. The PGM Project Manager is responsible for everything that happens downstream of Engineering/Permitting including pre-construction planning, construction execution/sequencing, and splicing/testing for project turnover and acceptance to downstream stakeholders.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>In this role, you'll:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Quality Management - Ensures projects are built according to approved engineered design plans and Google Fiber Standards in adherence to current contracts, SOW’s, and municipal requirements. Fosters an open, transparent, and cross-discipline change management process when deviations are necessary during execution.</li> <li>Project Management - manage project budgets, scheduling, resource/activity planning, activity sequencing and prioritization, Vendor performance tracking, project dependency awareness, financial reporting, invoice approval, and material management.</li> <li>Vendor Management - manage, develop, maintain, and drive the Vendor construction schedule in conjunction with the project team. Ensures project milestones and delivery dates are aligned with business commitments.</li> <li>Communicate progress effectively and work with internal/external stakeholders to ensure that projects are scoped properly and handed off seamlessly for network acceptance.&nbsp; Including Google Fiber OSP team in coordinating.</li> </ul> <p><strong>At a minimum we'd like you to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>5 years of Program/Project Management experience within a large scope, capital intensive, technical scopes of work.</li> <li>5 years of vendor management experience directly managing vendor resources, performance management, and accountability for project-based deliveries.</li> <li>5 years of experience scheduling projects, capital tracking/forecasting, reporting project status and costs versus commitments, and providing insights/ influence to commercial terms with contractors and vendors.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>It's preferred if you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>PMP, PgMP or other project management certification.</li> <li>+3 yrs Project/Program Management and vendor management experience</li> <li>Experience managing capital, operational and technical programs</li> <li>Experience managing telecommunication infrastructure, Fiber to the Home/Plant (FTTx) operations and/or outside plant (OSP) projects</li> <li>Understanding CAD, GIS systems and FTTH records/As-builts</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to employ quality troubleshooting skills and creative problem solving abilities under pressure.</li> </ul> <p><br><br>The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $100,100 - $137,700 + bonus + cash award + benefits.
